I think it’s more logical to assume that a being outside of nature crafted creation than creation creating and ordering itself.
I can get onboard with this. It just seems convenient that creation was centered around this speck of a planet, and its savior was sent to this planet a mere speck of time ago.
Seems convenient.

quote:
In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery? ”The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”

His name is Ollie
I got him as a puppy in the summer of 2020. Peak Covid so I was working from home exclusively. It was the perfect time to raise a dog.
He slept on my feet under the desk while I worked, and still does.
I’d post I pic but I don’t know how to do that with a personal photo.

What was your case exactly and who said anything at all about a multiverse?
Ok then explain why there is fine tuning.
I was trying to speed the conversation along. The only “scientific” answer that is logical is the multiverse hypothesis which is more faith than anything

It is beginning to feel that way. To only look at what's in front of my eyes seems like a child's game, now.
I am not a rock. I am not just matter in the form of random. I am more. This is more.

I hope so but I've always been skeptical. Just seems too good to be true.

Ollie... that's a good boy dog name!
Sally is a pandemic puppy too, so I understand, lol!
She loves either at the feet or curled up on the opposite side of the same furniture we are on.
If you really do wanna post a picture, you can use postimages.org.
Choose upload a photo, make sure it doesn’t tag a location... when it uploads there are a handful of different links to choose from- select copy direct link. When you get back here hit the img button in your reply and paste the link. Preview and submit!
Scruffle Ollie for me- all puppies need lots of scruffles!

It does, doesn’t it?
That's the best part AND the hardest to wrap your mind around. God is good!

I just want to end up wherever my dogs are when they died. I’ll be set for eternity then.

too many near death experiences that prove it. to many experiences of people being possessed and speaking languages they dont know for evil not to exist

We all want to believe there is more after this life and through religions we are told there is. The bible tells us there is, but the bible was written a few hundred years after Jesus had supposedly died which I think that alone raises a few questions.
They were written after Jesus’ death by people who lived during His lifetime, and some of the writings were addressed to those who may have actually heard Him speak. I don’t think your perspective aligns with the majority.
As for me, I do believe in an afterlife, though I don’t think the Bible makes it entirely clear what that looks like. And if I turn out to be wrong, I suppose I’ll never know.
