I have been doing this more and more.

Took a nasty dent in the passenger side of my wife's new car while at the beach. Talk about infuriating.

Otherwise I find a spot I can pull through.

Every door ding I've ever had on a vehicle was because of some inconsiderate a-hole at the grocery store.

I park in any and all spaces not marked for cripples and cops.

Veteran spaces? Sure, frick those guys. Pregnant women? Yup, frick them too. Take out spots? Sho nuff. Senior citizen spots? Those frickers ain't special. Pharmacy pick up spots? shite yeah, especially those.

I ain't frickin' around when it comes to parking.

Combat park baw. Pull all the way through or back in if necessary. Always ready to pull forward at a moment's notice.

I’m curious do tell. Because either way you are backing in- either to get into the spot or to exit the spot.

You have a much better visualization of your parking spot when you reverse into it since you have just driven past it to determine if you want to park there. You also are not likely to have a blind spot while reversing in.

When reversing out, if there are vehicles parked on either side of you, you may not be able to see oncoming foot and vehicle traffic coming from behind you.

I always pull through. As in I pull through the H so I can go forward when I leave.

Took one of those mandatory driving courses for work. Cheesy, and I was pissed at the time, but the thing that lasted with me is you reduce your risk of incident by a dramatic percent when you pull through so as to leave forwards as you say. The probability of accident goes way up the moment you put your vehicle in reverse

the way I look at it, I have to drive reverse on the way in or the way out. So I pull in and back out.

Haven't had a problem with this in 35 years of driving. Now they even have cross traffic alerts for the dumbasses who can't drive well.

Surprised your horse and buggy had a reverse on it.

A lot of dimwits in this thread don’t understand it’s safer and more efficient to back in, especially if you have a truck. In a car it doesn’t really matter as much.

Depends on size of parking spot and the particular lot. Truck is fairly long. It has auto park, but I don’t trust that shite.

95% of my backing in is because I'm at a place where kids run around cluelessly (church, club, etc.) and I don't want to squish one

So there is only foot traffic when you are Backing out of a spot, but no foot traffic when you are backing into a spot?

Exactly. I somehow got 20+ downvotes for my post. I'm wondering if I just wasn't clear about what I was saying?

Is the amount of reverse different entering than exiting? (Forgetting pulling through that is often illegal along with backing in).

I honestly get annoyed when I see someone pull forward into a parking spot and stop when the parking spot in front of them is open. I complain to my kid about it all the time.

Sometimes you need access to the back end of the car after shopping. I don’t pull through at Costco.
