Do you back into a parking spot or drive forward into it?

I’m do a little of both but can’t really explain it. If the surrounding spots are clear, probably a forward park. CSB

I pull through so my front end is pointing out. My preferred parking spot is far out in the parking lot, away from everyone else.

My coworker does that too. He’s terrified of someone being too close to his truck.

The a-holes in big trucks are the people I'm trying to avoid.

Usually forward even though I realize backing may be better.

Drive forward, at least 500 ft away from an entrance to avoid getting my doors dinged.

I always pull through. As in I pull through the H so I can go forward when I leave.

I honestly get annoyed when I see someone pull forward into a parking spot and stop when the parking spot in front of them is open. I complain to my kid about it all the time.

Usually forward unless it’s some place I’m expecting a lot of exiting traffic I’m pretty good at backing out of a parking place.

I’m told it’s an unwritten rule in Lafayette to back in…so many truck tailgates facing Johnston St. from the Twin Peaks parking lot. Patience is also required while parking at Don’s near Camellia.

You got two kinds of drivers. People that back into their parking spot and people that don't know how to drive properly.

Drive forward into it like a normal person.

Back in only. Typically on the end of a row with the tires as close to the curb as possible

I wait until I see someone backing into a spot and then quickly pull forward into it to stop them from backing in to it.

If I “can” pull fwd into a spot, I will. But I always have my car parked like it’s backed in, 100% of the time.

As a bank auditor I visit a lot of busineses. One industrial plant had a bunch of signs that I read as "reserve parking only", so I parked 100 yards down the road where the signs ended. As I approached the building on foot I re-read the signs which really said "Reverse Parking Only". From that day down to this I park backwards in any plant environment.

BUT, I still think people who reverse park in angle slots in a downtown garage are complete idiots. Worse than me even...

If the rear of the spot is open I’ll probably pull through it. If it’s regular parking I just pull in.
I have noticed more individuals backing into parking spots. I must’ve missed that memo.

Only time I pull in forward is if I have a large or heavy order at the hardware store. I’ll pull in so I can quickly load up the vehicle without having to worry about someone parking up to my trunk/tailgate.

Every other time I back in, or pop through. Hell, I even reverse park in my driveway
