I don’t really give a shite about what happens to TikTok, but my answer is no.
The bill being proposed isn’t really about TikTok and gives the government more power to decide what’s best for you. Along with criminalizing the use of VPNs.

If they want to ban TikTok, I'm all for it. But if they want to do it, they need to make legislation that bans it specifically....not some blanket bullshite that gives the commie feds the power to start banning things they don't like left and right.

Is there a way to strip TikTok of any intellectual property rights in the US? Basically to allow US companies to replace it.

People are stupid and don’t even truly understand what they want it banned for.
The real reason there is a push to ban it is because it shows tons of political folks in really shitey situations and shows what happens in DC and any other time they speak or previous stuff they said.
Once it began to show those folks in a bad light, it suddenly was bad
