Electrical tape is really good for cuts. Just put a paper towel over it, and wrap with electrical tape. Works almost as good as stitches.
I have pretty much any tool I'll ever need, and most I have two or three of. My bench vise is extremely beneficial

How many times can you possibly need to cut the door jambs on your own house? Do you add a new layer of flooring every year???

We redid a room two years ago, did a room last year, and will do a room this year.
It's a tool that works perfectly for what you need it for. A lot of people say to just use a Dremel, but this saw takes 30 secs and it's done.

Oscillating tool
Will take the place of the aforementioned jamb saw and has other uses.

Most tools do work perfectly when used as designed. Doesn't make them necessities. Again, how many times are you gonna cut your door jambs. Borrow one from a floor guy for an hour, cut all the door jambs in your house, and give it back. You'll never need it again. It's a specialty tool, with a very limited range of use. Pretty much the exact opposite of your own thread's intention lol

Tools- Impact or Drill, Circular saw, Sawzall
Basic stuff- Several crescent wrench’s of various sizes, good socket set, good set of pliers, channel locks, quick square, hammer, level, tape measure, screwdrivers, wire striplers/crimper, most important thing imo- A good sharp knife, I use a kobalt folding bloc blade and just change the blades
Pretty much every man should have those tools imo.

Can't believe nobody said a kreg jig yet, if you build anything out of wood it is a must have.

8 inch long surgical tweezers with 45 degree angled tips, seems like I use them every day. Used for picking up screws, other small parts I drop in tight places, for starting small screws/nuts, fishing small wires in places my fingers wont go, etc.
