I totally agree on the tweety bird, use mine all the time. Anyone doing home electrical work needs one, but never use it to verify something is de-entergized, it will bite you.

Duct tape, a shovel, and some bags of lime got me out of a real pickle once.

I know what you mean.

I'm still old school. I still use my corded drill motor. I've had bad dealings with cordless drills, but I've also never owned a high dollar one.

My magnetic extension pick up tool.

It will get the screws, nuts, and various metal parts I drop while working on a vehicle.

These are some random arse tools for a generic “must-have” list.

Channel Locks
Hammer
Screw Driver Set
Wrench Set
Drill (Cordless is my preferred)
Circular Saw
Level
Framing or Speed Square
Tape Measure

My personal choices in woodworking is Miter Saw, Table Saw, Planer, and Kreg Jig.

Me too. And I've got a 3-inch Phillips bit that must be made of tungsten that I've had for 35 years. Last year I thought I lost it and I just about cried like Tom Hanks when Wilson floated away in Castaway.

The things that I use the most are my 10' sliding compound miter saw and my 1/4" portable driver (lithium).
