That would be interesting to watch. Das Boot comes to mind for Germany but it’s not a new movie by any stretch.

Probably some white guilt indie movies in Germany. The German people are massively brainwashed in SJW hive mind. They’re super guilty for everything and anything. They bow down for any PC cause. Hence why their country is being raped by Muslim infiltrators, and the German people are biting down on the towel and spreading their cheeks wider

Generation War (German: Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter, literally "Our mothers, our fathers") is a German World War II TV miniseries in three parts. It was commissioned by public broadcasting organization ZDF, produced by the UFAsubsidiary TeamWorx, and first aired in Germany and Austria in March 2013. The series tells the story of five German friends, aged around 20, on their different paths through Nazi Germany and World War II: as Wehrmacht soldiers on the Eastern Front, a war nurse, an aspiring singer, and a Jewish tailor. The narrative spans over four years starting in 1941 Berlin, when the friends meet up for a last time before embarking on their journeys, enthusiastically vowing to meet up again the following Christmas. The story's conclusion is set in a time shortly after the end of the war in 1945.

They really didn’t though, at least solely by America. Without the a bomb and Russian help, the world would be a very different place with millions more American lives lost.

You missed one of the biggest memes of the last few years.

Hitler reacts to Bama losing the Iron Bowl

The scene is from 2004's German film "Der Untergang".

Generation War is pretty good but it's kinda laughable revisionist it is as it pertains to the main characters

I can agree with your sentiments about the Russian thing, but Japan would've never been able to withstand us with or without the bomb. Yeah, there was some tough fighting on both sides of our war, but the ending was never really in question.

Especially in the Pacific after Midway.

Met some Germans a few years ago. Got to talking about travel and asked some stuff about Europe. Told them I always wanted to go to Normandy. As soon as I said that they got visibly uncomfortable.

I don't like that. They shouldn't feel uncomfortable. They didn't personally do those things.

I was doing some training this summer in Germany, we had a couple days of liberty in Kiel. A buddy of mine got to talking to some German Army members and they were talking about how they're still paying reparations to Poland, Israel, France, GB, US, and Russia (maybe not all of those countries but definitely Poland, Israel and France) for the two world wars. They talked about how they understood that what their ancestors did was horrible but they didn't think that it was right that their country was still paying off those crimes 100 and 70+ years later. Because virtually everybody that was in those wars is no longer living.

I kinda understand where they were coming from as I would feel the exact same way they would in their situation.

I'm pretty sure that Germany hasn't paid reparations to other governments in quite some time. They do pay to some Jews but that's about it.

I've met several Germans and I've never seen one get upset or quiet when discussing the war. I've even met one that believes that the Holocaust was much smaller than stated numbers.
