I was in my local Kroger yesterday and noticed a lot of the yutes have facial piercings, tats, and multi-color hair. Some of the older baws have bushy beards.
Same thing at walgreens. Kid behind the counter had blue green hair.
When I worked retail we all had to be well groomed and wear ties.
I guess things have changed.

So you want us to believe at a Kroger you frequent, there are several (a lot of...) men and women employees with facial jewelry, tats all over and colored hair?

A single Kroger has that?

There used to be a Kroger on Florida Blvd in BR. It closed in the late 80's. I remember the sign had fallen over and sat on its side in the parking lot for what seemed like 2-3 years.

I don’t care what the dude at Walgreens looks like. But generally speaking, yes dress codes are fading away.

Exactly, and the Chikfila down the street is paying $13/hr and taking all the “well-groomed” candidates.

Retailers have a hard time just getting people past a drug test.

Bingo. In that industry, you have to change with the times.

Several years ago I heard about a time when Emeril's restaurant group was going to start drug testing their kitchen help and have a zero tolerance policy. Yeah, that shite went a way pretty quick when they found out they were going to have to let so many people go.

I know my mail lady drives her mail truck in what I consider cheerleader shorts and a t shirt. She's kinda hot too. No pics cause that is creepy but I got her saved in my spank bank.

I just returned from the local PJs Coffee to get my wife a morning latte. Not only do I have to jerk off the dog to feed the cat supper, it was a freak show of employees in there.

My fave is when recruiters wear a company polo and slacks and you are expected to to dress much better than that for an interview.

I work for a fortune 5 company and in the past two years we’ve gone to casual to appease the millennials

I work in the field and they told us to dress down to our clientele because apparently it looked brash if we wore ties and slacks

Felt weird but now I just wear jeans and dri fit golf shirt to see accounts. Not complaining

Second hand info, but I am told the new kiosk McDonalds is rolling out as they remodel and build new stores are very well groomed and polite.
