It
Exactly. These cats won’t be doing much else down the road so be it. As long as they do a good job and are courteous. I’m Just glad I don’t have to wear a tie anymore when I see executives stroll into a meeting wearing suits in August. frick that.

Retailers have a hard time just getting people past a drug test.
Probably why they don't actually drug test

So Brookshires? Pretty much the only one that cared about that shite and made you wear ties. They don’t even do that nowadays.

They do mouth swabs. As long as you haven’t done anything in the past 24 hours or so, you pass.

I was in my local Kroger yesterday and noticed a lot of the yutes have facial piercings, tats, and multi-color hair. Some of the older baws have bushy beards. Same thing at walgreens. Kid behind the counter had blue green hair.
so few people meet the stringent qualifications that Kroger requires to be hired that the kids can pretty much call their own shots as far as dress codes, sort of like rocket scientists at NASA

All the kids care about is smoking fortnight and playing vape

Yeah the "trashing it up of society". Funny how each time the conservative type* say things will change they get told it wont. "Just give a little". And then yrs later here we are.
I work for a company that was slacks/collered shirt (polo or button down) with casual jeans fridays. Which jeans and colored shirt worked. Now it's casual all the time, and I see tee shirts, hats, etc. Give an inch...
I have to ride the line since Im in that middle mgmt type level, so having a blazer to toss on at the office is key in case I got to go to the exec floor.
Suit/no tie, is about max. I just wish we would have something consistent. Like the best dress are some of the gays. At least not wearing dresses though. Why cant we say. Clean no holes jeans/slacks that fit with a belt, and nice collared shirt. Not that hard.
*i will say the church did assist here to get people in to support the mega build. I cant stand going to church anymore seing how people dress like going to the mall or family bbq. I grew up with my dad making sure we respected the church. Maybe not full suit anymore but back to slacks/collared shirt/nice non sneakers shoes.
Damn millinels.

You haven't heard? Everybody is doing the same thing to be different.
That always cracks me up, literally LOL.
The Low IQ crowd copying one another in dress and other weirdness in order to stand out from the crowd they're copying.
Out Gothing each other was a hoot. Out Flock of Seagulls hair do-ing each other was hilarious.
Now we've got the out tattoo-ing and body piercing crowd and out ear gauging is soooo visually appealing.
Yay for permanently scarring in order to show how mentally unstable and desperate for attention each is. We will forever recognize your mental weakness by those scars!

Ya, one of the casinos in Biloxi did hair sample drug testing for a while when it opened.
That was catching too many positives and was expensive so they went down to the pee test.

the one positive thing about this is the Kroger near me hires a revolving door of young hot girls, recent Harvard grads? anyway, their dress code is trying to see who can wear the tightest jeans, the tightest shirts, and the sluttiest makeup, I do my shopping one or two items at a time

I love my companies new dress code but some of the hair colors and piercings can be a little to much.
They’re pretty lax on tattoos to as long as they’re not offensive.

I had to wear a white shirt and tie with khakis at my first job stocking shelves at Winn Dixie. At $4.25/hr part time my clothes were probably 2 weeks pay

Exactly, and the Chikfila down the street is paying $13/hr and taking all the “well-groomed” candidates.
No fast food chain is paying $13/hr. They would close down quick.

Wearing a suit to work is as outdated as being tied down by a strict 9 to 5 work day.

Employers have finally realized that there are plenty of well dressed, well groomed, worthless employees out there and if that's true, then the opposite is as well.

do you believe that labor cost is a significant slice of their pie of business expenses?
