Everytime I have ever seen anyone cite DKE online, has been highly ironic.

Some of them are away that they lack the ability to comprehend complex ideas. Most don't because they are also ignorant.

What about being ignorant?

By definition ignorant people don't know they are ignorant. That's the point.

Came to say this. The dumber people are the more they think they have it all figured out.

Find me someone w a GED, school of hard knocks listed as education, and 4 kids by 3 partners out of wedlock and I promise they spend their day sitting on people who just dont get it like they do!

In my experience, the extremes of the spectrum know they are very dumb or very smart, even if they don’t know exactly where they fall. The middle 75% or so always overestimates their intelligence, and the closer to the bottom they are, the more they do so.

28% of the US population is functionally illiterate and about 2% totally illiterate.

So you got to keep that in mind as you go through day to day life.

Up through the 80s, society did a good job of policing itself. Public shaming was very effective in letting dumb people know they were dumb. Unfortunately, those days are long gone, and we will just get dumber as a society.
