Disney’s mask mandate - any word when it could potentially end?

With more and more states lifting theirs it seems like lifting it is becoming more and more popular. Has anyone heard anything about Disney World’s mandate and if it will be lifted anytime soon? I want to take the family in October but not if my 2 year old will have to wear a mask indoors.

This is not meant to be a Covid thread, even though it’ll surely turn into one.

I was wondering the same thing. We’re going for Mardi Gras and was really hoping it would be over by then.

Did they reinstate it? We went for a few days in July, mask free.

I was there in May. Only required masks in line for rides and indoors. What’s the mandate now?

Universal lifted this past week. I leave for Disney and Universal in 2 weeks. Disney needs to get their woke arse shite together.

I would not go, not worth the money.

They still have masking and their employee vaccine deadline is April.

The fact they are forcing employees to vaccinate still is pretty wrong.

Take the family to see the National Parks, 100x better than Disney pedos.

We went over thanksgiving. Masks required indoors at Disney world, in the free state of Florida. And it was enforced. Rigorously.

It's not the kids.
It's the moms.
They remember how special they felt pretending to be Disney princesses.
It's all but impossible for even women low on the craziness scale to avoid taking their kids there.

The crazy women go there all the time, as adults, without kids, for fun.
It's a disease.

No self respecting man can go to Disney and not have a Turkey leg.

Something tells me with the way Disney is, that’s gonna be a strong hold for masks.

They are gonna support the mask thing hard

Universal dropped theirs but Disney has been pretty steadfast in their own stance on masking since this all began. Nobody knows so anyones guess is as good as mine but if I had to say so, I would guess Memorial Day going into Summer barring an outbreak from BA.2 or another variant/sub-variant discovered in a lab somewhere.

Disney?

More likely that Teedy drops all mandates before Disney does.

My wife and I are not Disney super fans in any way, shape, or form, but some of you have some fricking stupid Disney takes.

If people want to take their kids there, let them.

I feel sorry for some of your kids because apparently they’ll never get to experience anything their close minded parents don’t like.

Meh, they've already dropped their indoor mask policy once and have never had a vaccine mandate. For Florida, and most of the south, they seem pretty strict but nationally they've been pretty loose about it all.

We just got back. The mask thing wasn't too bad. My three year old had hers on and off while indoors. She wasn't consistent with it and we never were told anything about her having to have it on.

Funny that you say that. These decisions are made at Disney by Reedy Creek. Their history shows that they will NOT be bullied, no matter how stupid their latest edict is, or what any physics or science says.

I’m down here now and while they are telling people to put their mask on inside or for an inside ride/portion of a line most have been pretty lenient and laxed about it and telling you then just walking away leaving you to do whatever. And by the end of the day they haven’t seemed to give a shite at all and won’t even mention it. These guys are over it too.
