I'm gonna be playing golf a couple times this trip. I enjoy the rides and haven't waiting longer than 40 minutes for anything the last 4 times I've gone. Disney also hosts some of the best supported races in the world.

Point being, as an adult, there's plenty to do that's tailored to you. I've left out a bunch.

Not surprising.

I've never done it before. I need to figure out the check in/out process and getting the Magical Express booking straight. I know people have done it often but I just want to familiarize myself with how it's all done.

Frozen Ever After (ride that replace Malestrom) is supposed to be opening the day after we leave but the wife is hoping we get a preview. The good news is the daughter doesn't kow about the trip so if it isnt opened, she won't even know.

It always boggles me how long they wait for some of these things...maybe they just go for staying power but that movie is OLD and I know there is a sequel in the works, but Olaf JUST got to the parks for meet and greets. Joy and Sadness from Inside Out havent even started yet and that movie is almost a year old.

I think some people have had a problem with FP+ and when the booking window opens but honestly, I'm not sure how that works out. We had APs when we went so I didn't pay too much attention.

My 9 and 10 year old hate Disney. I went once and that was enough for me as well. However, I have some classmates that moved to Orlando so they could go there more. I dont get the love, but if that's what people like that what they like.

Disney World sounds miserable to me. All Ive heard is that its always insanely crowded. Only thing that would make me happy is seeing my kids happy.

This. Couples and grown adults going without kids is creepy.

I'll be there.

Disney, golf, fishing, and more golf.

I'm looking forward to it. I don't care if it's 200 degrees.

From what I understand it's two hotel reservations and two sets of magic bands. However, I can ignore the second set and use the first as long as I let the front desk know and reconfigure them: room, ticket, etc. The fast passes are connected to the ticket so as long as the tickets are connected to the band, I should be okay.

Cast Member told me I actually have a choice when it comes to the second set. I can use them as intended and forget the first set once that reservation is done but I'll need to reconnect tickets, I can decline them completely and not get sent any, or I can get them and have them as spares/souvenirs. I think that's what we'll do.

It not that bad, but touring the parks takes some planning. Don't waste your time sitting at a character breakfast at 9 am. Use that time to hit the parks before it gets hot. Plan sit down shows and meals during the middle part of the day when crowds pick up an the temps rise. Condier mid day breaks with some swimming at the resort then go back for/after dinner.

The ones who sit in Chef Mickeys till 10:30 am, then drag their family from ride to ride from 11-5pm are the ones who will be miserable come 9pm and they've still got an hour to go for Wishes. When they need a break, you'll be walking back in fresh and ready to go

We made our first trip as a family to Disney world 3 weeks ago. Crowds were manageable, but busy on the weekend. We are already looking to go back, and have even thought about a late summer trip.

For this first trip I made all of the ADR's at 5 am exactly 180 days out, and got exactly what we wanted. My only fear about booking less than 6 months out is that we won't get the ADR's we want, mainly Be Our Guest.

Well my understanding is that everything is linked to your MDX account and the magic bands are linked to the MDX account...nothing is actually loaded on the band. You will need to make sure all magic bands will be programed to open the door at your resort. So, bring them all with you when you check in at each location. But yea, I think as long as your tickets are linked you should have no problem.

We use all of ours throughout our trip....now they have purple so we finally have a new color.

We only do Universal and Islands of Adventure now. I refuse to share my profits with Disney's duplicitous agendas.

We went the end of April one year and it was great. Lines were short, mainly families with young kids as the rest were in school. You miss the spring break crowds and the after school crowds. September is also a great month I've heard.

How large is your family? I was able to book small tables one week in advance by watching the website closely. They open up frequently if your schedule is flexible.

So both sets should work for the entirety?

Interesting. Will definitely try that out. And if so, would make things much easier.

We ate at Be our guest twice in February. Once for lunch and once for breakfast.

It was good, but I don't get the hype.

Overrated IMO

The food is meh. More for the scenery/experience. And one of the few if not only place to meet the Beast. I wouldn't go if it weren't for the kids getting a big kick out of it.
