Holy wall of pictures, Batman!

Thanks for the inputs. We've been to Disney anywhere from 15 to 20 times (lived in Florida for a while), so we're pretty good with planning out the days. I just never stayed at AoA before and was wondering if it would be the better option instead of Shades of Green. They are about the same price, so was just curious. We stayed at the Yacht club last time and loved it, but we are trying to go a little cheaper this time around. Thanks again!

Plan sit down shows and meals during the middle part of the day when crowds pick up an the temps rise. Condier mid day breaks with some swimming at the resort then go back for/after dinner.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs last year in a 2 bedroom suite with washer and dryer. Going this Memorial Day and staying at the same place. Being able to go back to the room on a hot summer day, shower, change clothes and recharge for a couple of hours is the way to go. It also has a full kitchen so we would usually eat a quick breakfast before we left so we wouldn't have to waste time at the park on that.

Are you a DVC owner? Rent? Or cash?

We own at Saratoga and Bay Lake. Staying at Bay Lake for the first time this next trip. Excited to stay on the monorail and a 10 minute walk to MK. Gonna be great with a 3 yo.

I've gotten to the point where I only want to stay in monorail resorts. Specifically Polynesian. Besides the convenience of the monorail right outside your door, you also have a short 5 minute walk to the ticket and transportation center which makes it easier to get to EPCOT since you can just walk there and get on the monorail going to there. No need to do the whole transfer business.

We will likely be splitting our stay with our last 3 days at Poly. We don't own there and will have to get two studios, but we feel like it's worth it.

Owning Saratoga has been great. It's not my number 1 resort but we got the points so damn cheap. $57/pt. plus, you can reallocate points once the 7 month window hits. Meaning I can book bay lake with bay lake points then at 7 months switch it to use Saratoga which aren't as valuable.

Wife is a DWorld Fanatic. There no longer is an "off-season". Disney has been promoting so hard in foreign countries for these off-seasons that they have turned the place into a year-round shite show. I told her it's the last time we visit for several years on our most recent trip. There hasn't been much innovation, it's gotten stupid expensive, and you have to wait in hour+ lines regardless of the day.

Do you think Thunder Mountain becomes a gay strip club and splash mountain is a gay bukakke seminar?

It's 2016, so there are apt of gays...it's still better than Jersey Days, Pop Warner football or the popular South American Tour group season.

My daughter has a gay uncle, a gay great uncle, two of my really good friends are gay and yes they even sleep in our guest bedroom when our daughter is there. Its 2016...shouldnt be that big of a deal anymore.

Hardly any of that is true.

Disney is promoting not just WDW but beefing up their parks overseas. New park in Asia and putting a ton of money into the Paris park.

And finally we are seeing growth and expansion at WDW. It started with New Fantasy land and is being extended to Hollywood studios with Toy Story Land and Star Wars land. Animal Kingdom is getting love too. Bringing in a night show will keep people in that park later making room at other places. Then, of course, Avatar land.

There are definitely light days. We have done the marathon 3 times. It's the second weekend in January. We stay the week after. Not once did we wait longer than 25 minutes for a ride. Any ride.

It wouldn't be so bad if the groups weren't filled with 50 unsupervised teenagers who are extremely loud and rude.

Our prime time used to be mid October; no crowds to speak of, moderate weather and little to no rain. Went last year and it was packed to the gills with brazilians; busses filled to the brim with tank top wearing dudes, high heel wearing trashy looking women and every bus wreaked of hair gel, suntan lotion and hairspray. We are going second week in june this year as it's supposed to be the least crowded summer week and the wife wants to stay at Animal Kingdom lodge this time so that should be pretty cool. We usually always stay at the All Star resorts so this will be a change.

Food and Wine festival has become extremely popular making the fall much more crowded than it's ever been, especially the weekend.
