Who's with me? While the late spring and summer crowds are some of the biggest, they're also some of the dumbest so their easy to beat. Sometimes the short notice trips are as much fun as the ones I look forward to for over a year.

The first Tipsy Ducks in Love is on me.

Disney World sounds miserable to me. All Ive heard is that its always insanely crowded.

Only thing that would make me happy is seeing my kids happy.

Drunk, hot as balls, getting slung around on some thrill ride. What could possibly go wrong?

Then you're talking to the wrong people or not reading the threads here. There are ways to tour just about any time of the year and not wait more than 20/30 minutes for any ride.

Well then you'll be hard to please anywhere with that kind of view. The key to Disney is finding things you like and doing them. Or, going through our vacation in a manner that fits you and your family. When people who never eat breakfast and stay in bed till 10 am on the weekends try and get up at 6:30 am and rush to character breakfasts only because they hear other people do it, it's a recipe for disaster. But, there is something there for just about everyone. The key is molding your vacation around you and your family.

Any time is a good time to go so long as you know what you're doing, have reasonable expectations, pay appropriately and have a plan in place.

"Best" will depend on who is going, but if you're JUST talking about low crowds, mid September is hard to beat. Now, I'll argue that mid December is the best. BUT, thats because I love the Christmas decoration, parties and themed events, low crowds and cooler weather.

Can we just open a Disney board already? This subject has been discussed to exhaustion.

I was speaking more of my perspective as a Pennsylvanian
(Crowds are low, weather isn't cold, etc.)

I love Christmas time as well, though it's crazy crowded. The biggest crowd I've seen was on NYE before the Citrus Bowl. Magic Kingdom was closed. Basically, every fan base going to the Gator, Outback, Citrus, and Champs Sports bowl.

Penn State, Alabama, Michigan State, Michigan, Mississippi State, NC State and West Virginia fans were all in town

Going the second week of November. Planning has been revving up a ton lately.

They added a race to the Wine and Dine weekend which meant we needed to add a day to do the challenge. I had already bought park tickets using the DVC promotion. So I had to call and ask for an exception and get a refund. Then purchase new tickets. They hooked me up. 6-day park hopper and water parks for just $382 per adult after tax.

Put together our list of places we may want to eat. Got a little over a month before I have to finalize though.

Epcot promenade outside of China. The best part is, they still free pour there and they are generous with the Jack. Tip them and come back and they usually remember.

Not mid december though. After Thanksgiving and before Christmas (while kids are still in school) is very reasonable.

More times than not it's warm enough during the day to swim in the heated resort pools for a mid day break, but not sweat in the morning at night when you're in the parks.

Have you ever done a split stay? We'll be at bay lake tower for the majority of the trip but because of Veterans Day, the last two nights are booked. We are looking at Poly or Beach Club or wait listing at Grand Floridian.

Are you 13? I can't think of any other reason to look forward to a trip to that hell hole.

Yeah, we did one last November. Art of Animation and Boardwalk. Because we got there the day before Thanksgiving pickings were slim but they opened up by the weekend so we did 3 days at AoA then another week at Boardwalk. It was pretty seamless. They brought our bags over with no problems.
