We own DVC too and generally only go when crowds are low. We went over mardi gras to accommodate some school schedules . It was an 8-9 day at all parks according to the crowd calendar. We got there when it opened, left at lunch, took naps, came back at or after dinner. You will get more done in the first couple hours if you get there when it opens than you might get done all day. If it is hot, you will also get pretty beat down. If you have a stroller, put a case of water in the bottom.

I agree that there are still lighter crowd days. They are just not going to be when most kids are out of school.

We always face a dilemma with the mornings. We really like breakfasts, namely Cinderella's Royal Table, Tusker House and Chef Mickey's. So we book them as early as possible knowing we'll miss rope drop and a chance at a few quick rides on some popular attractions.

Just realized Flower and Garden Fest will be wrapping up while we're there.

Going to put a lot of importance on being in the world showcase when it opens at 11am. With no Soarin, that shouldn't be an issue. Looks like a strategy of rope dropping future world, world showcase from 11-1 (eat lunch there), then head to Hollywood studios where our FP+ will be waiting then go back and swim for a while.

Head back to Epcot for Illuminations and maybe squeeze in the new Star Wars fireworks depending on what time they will start.

Josh over at EasyWDW did a real good review of all the flower and garden booths in Epcot.

How much does it cost to rent out Disney. I don't like crowds.

Every park or just one?

All parks....probably $20+ million for the day.

One park..it would depend... Hollywood Studios would be the chapest with Magic Kingdom being the most expensive. Animal Kingdom and Epcot have so much more staff so it would rive their cost up.

I honestly don't think any amount would actually do it though...a couple hours before a park open or after it closes happens from time to time, but not all parks for an entire day.

Having been there a couple years ago during memorial day weekend and the week after I would say the later in the week after the more homosexuals you're going to see and those will be the most extremely offensive ones. Not a good time to take family in my opinion. We're going early may this year, and we are going AoA little mermaid rooms. The youngest member of the group will be 21, but frankly we all turn 6 when we hit the gates.

You realize that is the Gay Pride kickoff weekend, right? It will be flooded with Aggies

Do you think Thunder Mountain becomes a gay strip club and splash mountain is a gay bukakke seminar?

It's 2016, so there are apt of gays...it's still better than Jersey Days, Pop Warner football or the popular South American Tour group season.

My daughter has a gay uncle, a gay great uncle, two of my really good friends are gay and yes they even sleep in our guest bedroom when our daughter is there. Its 2016...shouldnt be that big of a deal anymore.

We made the mistake of going to Disney the week of Memorial Day back about 2004 when my son was 3 yrs old. First place we went was FantasyLand right behind Cinderella's castle in the Magic Kingdom. That's when we found out it was "gay days". Within 10 minutes we saw everything from dudes full-blown making out to guys walking around with their hand down the back of another guy's pants. It was pretty obvious many of them were doing nothing but trying to shock and disgust as many people as they could.

I have a family member who is a Disney Booking Specialist. Whether you are DVC, staying on property, staying off property, splitting time time with universal, etc. She (no pics) can help. She will book your tickets, room, dining reservations, photopass, character meet and greets, fastpasses etc, so that when you get there all you need is your magic band.
I can speak from experience (my family is dvc and we average 2-3 trips a year) this service costs absolutely nothing. Disney has already factored in a booking fee into all of their prices. You might as well get what you are paying for! She is an expert on everything Disney.

ETA: If your schedule is flexible, she can also advise on when to go, what parks are most crowded at which times of day etc.

We went this past November around the same time. More crowded than our Feb 2012 visit but not prime time crowded. Weather was definitely better than February.

Plans coming together okay...just waiting on the Rivers of Light info to come out. Damn Disney dragging their feet.

We usually fly so having a car will be quite different. Alot of the table service options are booked when we want to go so I am going to cash in some of my checking account points for some quick off-site meals with gift cards (Panera Bread, Chili's etc).

One day I know we will eat at al the flower and garden booths but rather than stay in the parks when they get real crowded, we can bounce to a nearby chain for some down time.

Will do. Not sure if necessary though. She has been there 50+ times, completed the goofy challenge twice, swam with the dolphins etc., etc. She's also a DVC member who has stayed at most of the resorts. She was an expert long before she started providing the booking service.

I was just joking. Alot of people get started like that. They stay in tune and up to date with everything and go so frequently that they realize they can profit from it. Numerous travel agencies started contracting with people around the country to provide these services at a much more grassroots level.

Yeah its pretty cool that it doesn't cost the consumer anything extra. Disney just pays her a small percentage. I know my wife would spend hours on the phone the first day we could book dvc. Trying to get all the restaurants rides etc. On the fastpass. Now we kust send her a list of what we want and she spends the time on the phone and does all the booking. It's really pretty convenient.
