I will stick to my $99 cedar point pass. That includes all six flags parks.

I used to go annually but haven't been since 2022. It's very expensive and there are better ways to spend $5k.

Someone did not rent dvc points. A two week trip out west in “five star” hotels is way more expensive than week at the Wilderness Lodge.

We saw the actual Yellowstone Lodge (the one they built Wilderness after), stayed in Jackson, WY, multiple nights waking up to the Continental divide in Colorado, went horseback riding, fly fishing...

Or you can go to Florida for half the time and more money and get a more expensive copy cat of the actual thing.

I get Disney is expensive , but that’s hard to believe.

5star resorts run about $500 a night.. times 14 nights… that’s $7k right there.

Which is what about a family of. 4 for a week at Disney is.

If you read it again you're proving my point.

Or...you can do both.

We live in a capitalist economy, and until enough people start spending their money elsewhere they will keep raising the prices. Those parks just don’t ring my bell.

With the cost, there is nothing worth going to Disney for.

Disney is not worth a $10,000 vacation

No… the $7knfor a week in Disney includes parks and dining plan. I just priced it out.

So you have 2 weeks of food and entertainment to go along with the $7k in lodging.

And I’m not defending Disney vu any means… my trips there are they until I bring the grand kids ( god willing) once or twice…

But if you did spend $7-8k on a 2 week trip… I’d love the itinerary and places you stayed and did!

On any given day, roughly 70% of guests at Walt Disney World are there on their first visit. Disneyland is primarily annual passholders and locals but Disney World thrives on the first timer, not the return guests or "Disney adult freak"

And they save up for it. They will spend whatever it costs.

I lived about a hour away from DW in the the mid 70s....We went there 4-5 times per year. The cost was around 7 bucks per person. If it was a discount day for my wife's work we got in fo 5.

Here is another fun one from Vegas. The MGM Aria will charge $50 through a third party company if you need to use an outlet and unplug the tray on the on the desk that holds all the waters.

LINK

Since the fine goes to a third party company you can't even dispute it through the hotel.

So since 2015, Disney ticket prices are +126%, but Disney stock is +12%.

Spend your money on a different vacation, and spend your money on a stock that can at least keep up with inflation.

The only way we can afford a trip to Disney for a family of five is by using airline and hotel points. Our vacation expenses are limited to park tickets, along with food and beverages. We also don’t waste our time on Lighting Lane nonsense either.

With the latest cost increase, might need to sit out a few years and do something else.
