A anonymous veteran asks YouTubers to help spread the word

quote:

According to congressional testimony, The Walt Disney Company's decision to not blur faces in a NatGeo documentary may have already cost lives. Now, we're bringing all the attention to it we can in hopes at least a few lives can be saved.

Green Beret demands accountability from Disney in front of Congress

1208 Foundation

quote:

Operated by Green Berets, the 1208 Foundation provides life saving assistance and immigration advocacy to the Afghan partners of US Army Special Forces. Amongst these allies of the US are interpreters, and the National Mine Reduction Group; Afghan citizens who put their lives on the line by clearing IEDs for America’s Special Forces. Because of their peerless service rendered on behalf of the United States, it is our mission to ensure that America honors its promise by ensuring their welfare and chance at a better life.

Disney and their subsidiary, National Geographic, filmed a documentary about US troops in Afghanistan called ‘Retrograde’ and chose not to blur the faces or hide the voices of the Afghan allies that helped remove IEDs.

Some of these Afghans have already been hunted down and killed after the documentary went up uncensored on Disney+. The Green Berets of the 1208 Foundation want to rescue those that are still alive, have the documentary pulled down and censored, and demand accountability from Disney.

I would enjoy a number of giant corporate behemoths collapsing into dust, but none so much as Disney. It is a complete mockery of what it began as. Now it's just an evil collection of groomers and parasites leeching off the last profits of a dying host.

He continued, “They were our most trusted partners because while the war was marred by the infamous green on blue attacks our trust in them was so complete that they lived on our bases with easy access to huge quantities of weaponry and high explosives. The hazards they undertook were immense. From 2015 onwards 22 Green Berets died in Afghanistan compared to 47 NMRG members in the same time frame. We owe them a tremendous debt but they’ve been abandoned. In the quagmire of the SIV approval process many have been killed waiting, dozens are missing, and their applications are being increasingly denied for arbitrary reasons.”

“So I understand some might ask what made them volunteer for the most dangerous job in Afghanistan,” Kazsa said. “I’ll tell you that it was faith. Faith that the United States of America was honorable and moral, would protect them in return for protecting us”

He then stated, “And American leaders, civil and military, Democrat and Republican were found faithless when it mattered the most. Now rather than debating the normalization of the Taliban, I will illuminate the fallout of continued apathy and half-measures. Because it is apathy that allows us to violate our principles and ignore promises. It’s apathy which allows us to betray our allies. Apathy does not manifest itself to the failings of government or does not limit itself to the failings of government. It leeches into our societal fabric and manifests in the indifferences of our leaders and our institutions.”

Disney sucks but I think a huge amount of blame needs to be pointed at the current administrations

They didn’t get this before it got released and, on top of that, the exit from Afghanistan looked like a monkey fricking a football to the point where a lot of American nationals and people who helped us got left behind in the scramble to escape.

Disney fricked up by showing them. The administration fricked up between letting them and. It evacuating people who helped us.

I don't know how many spent watching the 19 min clip here or have seen Retrograde. I've seen both (w the clip now). Visa for translators and allies has been a decades long FUBAR issue in my opinion. Even the movie The Covenant covered it. Administrators from every term have done an awful job at protecting those who help us.

I asked in the M/TV thread about this, but is this verifiable? If so provide a link.

Hopefully this was an honest mistake and not something more egregious. Either way, Disney (or the DoD) needs to rectify it immediately.

This admin in particular did a piss poor job of EVERYTHING in winding up Afghanistan.

My favorite bit is how the entire Afghan military was trained to use air support from Bagram in everyday operations. The administration proceeded to abandon Bagram overnight without warning because they only had enough military to staff either an air base or an embassy and they chose an embassy.

And then Joe Biden stole their assets and distributed them to illegal aliens.

I don't mind the down votes. The Covenant was a story about 2018, so the votes are from Stout, Clark, Roger and Jones LLC anyway. Just the way it is.

This is according to the testimony before Congress in a link in my op

That clip specifically mentions a 21 year old father named Omar was killed after the doc came out and it was used to make a hit list
