The South Americans are pretty legit and knowledgeable in the parks. . And I swear they must issue yoga pants on the flights up.
Those yoga shorts man lord have mercy. And they are all in shape. We really need less fast food joints in this country. More grocery stores and less McDonald’s.

We're getting a surge because everyone in Louisiana goes during Mardi Gras.

On days 3 and 4, I started a stopwatch each time we entered a standby line to compare actual time with the posted wait times.
Not my idea of a vacation when it requires me using a stopwatch.

You have to execute a detailed game plan with a solid leader to make Disney work. Luckily, Mrs. KTG was on point with the app, planning, etc.
The kids will have lifetime memories. They loved the Star Wars area in Hollywood Studios.
We had great park visits, did all the rides, ate some overpriced food and I got to have some nice cold beer at times.
We stayed off property and used points for the hotel room. That was a nice savings.

I was just curious on how close the times matched up. The lines mostly went much quicker than the posted wait times.
And trust me… Disney is NOT my personal idea of a “vacation” either. Its just a sacrifice I made for the kids during a non-summer month.

Exited Epcot and not one cast member acknowledged anyone leaving.
First time I have ever seen that happen. 8-10 cast members, even a couple of plaids were just hanging out not doing anything.
My experience the last week of January was completely different.

State of Disney: Obscenely overpriced, toxically cute; Universal waaay better for less moolah.

My 4yr old crazy kid was def terrified of Tower of Terror. He just cleared the height requirement and the longer we spent in line, the more he looked around and started squirming. That drop was real !!!!

Was there this past week. Genie+ is a joke! Nothing good about it. First time going and park was clean and exiting, I was greeted by lots of employees

Would love to see someone put together a YouTube video of the epidemic that is Disney scooter people. I think everyone brings grandma gang green so they can cut to the front of the line.

Got in last night around 10pm from a week long stay at old Key West.
Our experience with the cast was excellent throughout our stay. I know many have had a different experience. The only negative we dealt with was the stupid Genie Lightning+ crap. It was useless. Also, the crowds were large.
We valeted at the Dolphin, the Polynesian, and Coronado Springs. We were not charged once. I’m assuming it was because I was wearing a walking boot. I did not ask for complimentary parking or point out my boot in any way. It was very cool that we were comped.
I did try to rent a scooter for Animal Kingdom and they were out. I’m not into calling out people for renting scooters, especially overweight guests. I’m a big boy myself but I was embarrassed at the thought of having to ride a scooter. The terrain in AK is not the greatest for a boot.
We had a great time and didn’t notice any trash anywhere. Every bathroom I entered in the parks had an attendant.

My family goes yearly, and we don’t get bent out of shape if a ride we want is down for maintenance the day we have planned for that park.
Lightning Lane started after our last trip, so haven’t tried it but I’ve heard a lot of negativity surrounding it. My guess is people too cheap to use it mostly. The old fast pass system was pretty good, I had it down so I’m hoping it comes back before our next trip.
We’re skipping a year as there’s a lot of construction we’d like to see done before we go back. COVID has put a lot of projects behind.

3 grand where are yall staying in th car in the parking lot? 3 kids fastpass and flights to and from 8,000 plus spending money. I hate fricking disney but wife said we need to take the youngest. This was Thanksgiving before covid. I can only assume it's more expensive and less services

Unless you're neck deep in Pixar and princesses, Universal is twice as good, for half the price.
Uh… Have you priced Universal? I also like it perhaps more now than Disney, but I priced tickets last weekend for a day… 2 park tickets were $209 or $219 each. Express passes were like $239 each. No rooms at that express pass hotels to be had. Almost $1000 for one day?
You could buy season passes for that price. It’s all nuts.

That is so far off base. Disney can get expensive but a basic resort hotel and snacks and meals, a family of four is less than 5. If you go really cheap, can be sub 3,500.
Just priced a 5 night stay with 4 days park for 5 people staying at a cheap value result. No meals or anything like that at all
$6300
That includes zero food, zero gas for driving or plane tickets etc. Just the room cost and tickets

Glad we went when it was still "magical"
Posted on 3/6/22 at 7:48 pm to lakeviewtiger
We have been passholders since we moved to Florida, about 7 years ago. Our passes expire in May and we won’t be renewing them. Disney is nickel and diming you to death at this point. They have taken away a lot of the perks for being a passholder and for staying on property.
We have a travel trailer and our new goal is take the kids to see the national parks. We might hit Disney every couple of years or so.

4 day parkhoppers for 4 are approx $2500.
5 nights in hotel, realistically, $1000
Parking - $100 because your hotel is off site
Food - $500 if you eat ramen in the room
Incidentals - $250 (that plush Stitch someone had to have…)
Gas money or Uber, etc - $100

I always see that but what does “magical” mean in terms of quality of experience?
Honest question since I’ve never gone.
