They’re probably charging $307 to change out the cabin air filter
I thought the same thing.

cold air. it's pretty serious.

I assume they’d blow ozone from the filter area through the vents…or some cleaning agent.

Trying to figure out how a $30 AC service costs $300

I'll go in for an oil change, get a list of recommended services and then send my vehicle to a trusted mechanic to get everything done.

Mad? No, I went insane on her for being so stupid abd the dealer for their con job.
I'm sorry, how did the dealership con anyone? It sounds like your wife went in for an oil change and somehow accidentally bought a new car instead. Her decision making skills seem... questionable.

My elderly mother has bought her last four cars at a well known Metairie Honda dealer. She brought her car in to get serviced and her dome light had stopped working, so she mentioned that to the service advisor. After awhile he comes back and tells her that they checked and the wiring going to the dome light must be faulty and they would have to trace the wire and yadda yadda. All at the hourly rate, so might cost a couple of hundred dollars. She did not authorize the work because of the additional expense.
A few days later I'm at her house and she mentions it to me. I go to her car, remove the dome light bulb, go to AutoZone, buy one just like it, put it in, and the light works again.
So this service advisor was going to replace a bulb and charge her a few hundred to "fix it".

You're just what they are looking for. Show up with a mattress on your back.

What the hell is “oil conditioner”? You pour it in next to the blinker fluid?

Had a 07 Altima that around 110k the transmission was making a noise. Nissan said I need a new one and it would be 4k
Couldn’t afford it so just drove it. Ended up going another 5 years and 260k miles

Was the alignment checked? If so and it’s out you are going to burn through tires quickly.

Not just blinker fluid.
It is pumpkin spice blinker fluid made by the unicorn and rainbow company.

I sold an F-150 to Best Chevrolet that had 160k miles on it, a main seal leak between the engine and transmission, and the steering rack was going in and out. I told them about all of this and they still sold the truck way faster than they could have fixed it. I saw it on the lot a few days later and never again after a week.

Found the idiot who'd say yes to those "Services" and likely felt like he was getting a bargain.

Wife called from Honda and said they wanted to replace the power steering fluid because it was dark and dirty. That’s funny, I said, we replaced the pump and the fluid last month when the pump went out on a vacation trip. I paid extra for the damned new fluid. They had no response to getting caught in an obvious lie, which I confirmed by checking the pristine fluid when she got home.
The local Honda place was notorious for pushing to sell additional bullshite like coolant flush and transmission fluid replacement every time you went in.
Switched to Toyota, and their dealer here is completely different. They never push any extras, and they’ve told me I didn’t need some things I asked about. We are on our third Toyota, and we will never buy another Honda unless a new dealer with a better reputation opens nearby.
