I think you’re the idiot who can’t read.
The fact he states "They are real services offered" is my point.
"Oil conditioner"
"AC system cleaning every 15K miles for $300+
"Fuel Injector cleaning every 15K miles, also for $300+"
What's next on the list of BS "Services"
Engine undercoating
Adjust air pressure for the wipers
Fluid change in the spare tire

So uh… what do you do for work?

Facts. The world is all a big scam now. Call these people out as much as you can and let them know how big of pieces of shite they are. That’s seriously all you can do.

If y’all would stop buying brand new cars y’all wouldn’t have these issues.

When I get my oil changed at my dealership, they always come tell me my windshield wipers are streaking. I tell them yes I know but only when it rains.

Took my BMW suv in yesterday for regular maintenance and oil change (18k mi). He tried to push that exact A/C service for $375 and said it’s to get rid of mildew. Also pitched alignment for $350. Declined both but he just moved on quickly.

BG MOA oil conditioner: not a bad product. But completely ppintless if you are using a quality oil.
EFI service: at 15k pointless. But if someone was willing to pull my injectors and flow test them for 309 bucks I'd probably pay it just to watch them want to kill themselves. Realistically, they probably meant dump a can of seafoam in.
AC service: properly cleaning the condensor is a good idea. As is cleaning the air intake below the wipers. They are realistically not going to do either.
Alignment: I actually do like to check the alignment about 15k miles in. Why? Because I'm incredibly rough on a vehicle. Nice to know if the suspension and steering components are holding up.
Having said all of that, some of you are retarded.
"The service department doesn't work on commission." A good service writer makes 10-15k a month. The majority of it...commission.
"The service department mKes more than the sales dept." They do well. Not that well.
"It's a scam to offer people goods pr services during a free service." It's a loss leader. You can have this free...and they get the opportunity to sell you other shite.

Did you know domestics used to do uncoated steel oil pans?
Did you know wipers used to be vaccuum activated?
I don't have a fun one for the spare tire that doesnt involve a tractor

Building In Your Car AC
I just googled and this came up. So may make sure every now and then. But not at $15k miles. But it also sounds like when you suspect.

I'm 70 years old. I know wipers were vacuum activated, also starter buttons were on the floorboards just like headlight dimmer switches at one time.
If you had a radio in the car, it was AM only. Having AC was a luxury. Our AC in the summer months was called "4 at 60". You rolled down all 4 windows and got the car up to 60 and hoped you didn't pass much road kill.

Oh wow, you went to a place where they sell things and they offered to sell you something!! The gall.
It is not exactly trickery, if you have any semblance of competence.

This is right there with HVAC companies telling ppl that they need to get their air ducts cleaned. Companies that do this should be burned down.

They missed blinker fluid and lubing the horn. Hopefully, they took an exhaust sample.

I got service at a dealer one time years ago; it might have been a Toyota dealer. Everything was fine until they asked me to review the invoice before running my credit card. I did a quick scan of the numbers in the ones column and they did not add up to the total invoice amount’s ones digit; the total was a few cents more than it should have been. This was a computer printout. I asked and the cashier was baffled. They re-totaled the invoice and it came out correctly so I paid and left.
I’ve thought afterwards how pennies add up and it was probably a sleazy way to add a few dollars to their bottom line every day.

Good buddy of mine sold cars in Jackson for a bit. Said these folks are incentivized to upcharge on random shite depending on what the dealership is pushing, like alignments. Always try for air filter and get. Also said they prey on women and dopey looking guys.
