I think I did. Finance, accounting and law, it was all a long time ago. I taught accounting for a while, I think I read all of those.

I never considered getting a book before two weeks into the class. Many times the professors didn’t even use them. If I needed one I would check the library or buy a previous edition for a lot cheaper. I didn’t buy many books at all over the four and a half years.

EG 231 Thermodynamics. Hardest class I ever took next to Pchem. Read that thing front to back and still barely passed with a c due to partial credit. Our professor was a woman from nasa that hated the fact she had an all male class but 1.

Not books, but I still have my notebooks from every class as well as some exams professors handed back.

I did yes. That's why I made good grades

law
Law textbooks are such a waste of money nowadays when you can find just about every court opinion that's covered in a textbook on Westlaw or LexisNexis, each student's access to which is already paid for by their tuition and/or fees.

In part, some.
In whole, not a one.

I did find it humorous the amount of penguins in the physics books

Yes, I didn't go to much class. Had to pull out the book to cram before any exams.

Yes. I still remember the illustrations in my geology book, which I recall on occasion.

I once wrote a paper in graduate school and cited about half a dozen of my text books from upper level undergrad and graduate school, so yes.
ETA: as far as books not directly related to my field of study? Not really that I can recall, but that was years ago.

I did...and still have the good ones. Calculus, stats, history, english, and all the computer science ones. For the classes I actually had to work for.
Most have the "College Supply" stamp on the inside cover.
Looking at them and my highlights/notes takes me on a stroll to my youth.

Oh man. I sold mine online immediately when the semester would end. I'd make a solid $300-$500 per semester doing that (my parents always bought my books, but they let me keep the money from selling them). I'd always look for the best priced one on Amazon and charge $0.05 less.
