Chopped beef is where it’s at
We have been to the one on Juban a few times, it’s same as I remember as a kid

We had Morrison’s here, and I always thought they were better. Especially the meats, but boy, as a kid it was fun to slide to the dessert section. All those brightly colored jellos and cakes and pies. For a kid it was Dessert Disneyland.
My grandparents used to take me to all kinds of places that are long gone now (Oh, the Farrell’s in CA, how I loved that place). Their generation’s places simply couldn’t survive the tastes of their kids and grandkids. The past really is another country.

I remember eating at the Picadilly in Cortana sometime in the late 80's with my aunt and mother (no pics), and they had an electrician working up in the ceiling. Dude ended up electrocuting himself and fell through the ceiling and landed in the middle of the dining room. He got up, dusted himself off, and went "Woooooooo that hurt." Ten year old me laughed my arse off.

I liked Picadilly. Grew up going to that place. I really miss Luther's BBQ and the Toddle House

I hope the one on Essen doesn't close. Now that we are empty nesters we pick up from Piccadilly all the time.

Couldn’t have told you there was a Piccadilly on Plank Road
Used to go to the one on Sherwood every Sunday after church
The one on Essen will never close with OLOL there

When they switched suppliers of their chicken fried steak to the frozen crap they serve now is when they really lost it. Other stuff like chopped beef and fried chicken are similar to the past but largely the quality is down. But most restaurants are in a similar boat.

Their crawfish etoufee used to be legit. Haven't been in a couple of decades though.
My HS football team went to Piccadilly in McComb before a game against Parklane in the early 2000s
We all got immediate food poisoning after eating the etoufee and lost by 4 TDs
Still think that was an inside job…

I had no idea there were still any Piccadilly restaurants anywhere.

Did they go woke too?
Holy hell what a retarded take. All of their customers died.

Damn. That’s a tough one. Still go there with my mawmaw once a month or so
Like mawmaw, one day Picadilly isn't going to be there. Don't take it for granted. Savor every chance you get.

My family at Picadilly, my brother was 11 or 12 years old, I was a few years older. Chicken fried steak was one of the entrees. Whenever somebody ordered it, the lady would yell "cream gravy?!"
My brother sits down with chicken fried steak with cream gravy.
My mother: I thought you don't like cream gravy?
My brother: I don't. I was scared to say no.

My kids love Piccadilly. We went to the one on Sherwood last weekend. With kids it's great as they can see what they want and you don't have to keep them entertained while waiting for your food. Mine always get the red beans for one and fried fish for the other one. They switch up their sides.
I'd put them and bayou bistro as the best carrot souffle in town.

Oil Center location was goat, just told my wife that I would love a piece of their strawberry pie. I think the Ellick location was demolished to make way for another restaraunt.
