I appreciate your input and well thought out opinions as it gives different insight from a different point of view.

It seems to me that a person so sexually hyped and willing to committ physiological tortue is also the type that could not stop and would do this again. They would have to have had intimate details of the layout of the house, details of the Ramseys schedule and intimate details of Johns Christmas bonus. They would have to have a way to enter and exit unseen ( Burke stated someone opening the refrigerator downstairs would wake him up). Not saying it isnt possible but that would take tremendous amount of research and everything playing out perfectly.

What are your thoughts on John changing his story about her being asleep versus he read them a story and also John turning on Fleet White and accusing him of being the killer?

I think I was leaning towards an intruder more easily maybe because...

I couldn't imagine a father or mother breaking off a large paint brush and shoving it in their own daughter to break her hymen-- with only a touch of blood. (Isn't there usually a lot of blood?)

And then strangling her big time with severe marks and bruising.

Even if they thought she was already dead.

I get it could have been done to look like rape and cover for Burke.

But my mind doesn't want to go there. As parents they should have checked her pulse and called the cops and told the truth that it was a sibling rivalry accident.

Their child needed obvious mental health help.

But that's a lot different than actually doing what they are accused of doing. I can also tell you that many of those most-close to the family and the case in general have come to this conclusion. She was targeted from a pageant/mall appearance. Somebody became fixated on her. These people are everywhere.

Is it possible they torture-murdered their already-dying daughter and concocted a completely unnecessary diabolical plan to cover up and accidental death? Sure. Anything is possible. But when you walk yourself through it , it all unravels.

Just seeing this now because it was on the bottom of the prior page. The bottom-line is the police were inept so the cobweb story doesn't convince me.

Was the father in a known company and his bonus check was published in a company newsletter; that the killer saw because he worked at the father's company in some capacity?

The cobweb was pointed out during the same time frame as the body being found and not only by the police.

John was President and CEO of the company. Doubt they would have posted his year end bonus.

Don't forget the grand jury voted to indict both John and Patsy. The prosecutor elected not to take them to court.

The stun gun was speculation by Lou Smit because of two marks on her neck, but the caliber was wrong. The caliber did match those of a toy train track found in the basement.

Ironically, they guy who played Santa Claus at their home was a suspect. His own daughter and a friend of hers had been kidnapped years before. His daughter escaped and the friend was raped. He also wrote a story about a young girl who was kidnapped and murdered. Dude was creepy as hell. He was cleared as a suspect though.
