I go with Patsy in a panic and trying to weave a story for police hence the 3 page ransom note. A real criminal wouldn't do that. Look at it this way if a criminal planned this out so well that they were able to get in and out without getting caught AND taking a child from her bed down the stairs then they would have planned for a ransom note nor a spur of the moment 3 page novel.
If they got in just to molest and she died on accident ( yet the flashlight by the pinnapple bowl was found to be a perfect match to the head injury) they would not have stayed around to write that much and a stranger still wouldn't have any knowledge of the $118,000 bonus.

This thread again. I haven't read it but I already know what it says. One or two well-informed people and a bunch of baws parroting something they saw on ID channel. Some of you know my personal connection to this case and some of the people involved and my decade plus long board exasperation at the things people allow themselves to buy. 
My general observation is the more implausible the theory, the more enthusiastically it is accepted by the masses. I think we need a Reverse Bizarro-World Occam's Razor strictly for this case.

Particularly since I lived within a short walking distance and was personal friends with two whose name you know if you follow the case. Alas, my Vail ski lift pass and the company of the former Mrs. Pimp was sufficient alibi. Plus the fact that I generally try not to murder children. Unless they are Moops. I hate those little Moop frickers.
Interesting sidenote-I quit smoking that Christmas eve which was a really big deal for me personally so those two events are intertwined in my head.
