I don't know if this is true but liberals tend to adopt more than conservatives. Yet they're opposite on abortion.

in what world do you think that's true? evangelicals/mormons have adoption shite on lock down.

i'm not espousing a belief or endorsing either party here, but there's no way that's true.

It's always sad to realize that the most dangerous people for kids to be around are usually the people responsible for taking care of the kids.

So are carrerist couples that wait until its too late to have biological kids.

Big cities this is super common route for adoption, and usually liberal leaning people. Women aren't "stay at homes" and have upward trajectory corporate careers.

yep. i've never looked at the stats, but i don't think "most" adopters are liberal. i pointed out the gay demographic only because gays are overwhelmingly liberal AND are obviously a distinct high-demand adoption group.

So...we have a fatal car accident here? Is this supposed to be more newsworthy because this kid had a widely circulated picture with a cop?

They made a documentary about somethings wrong with aunt Diane..

Certain car wrecks peak interest for a number of reasons. This one had several people involved I believe.. and bizarre. There was people missing and hope they may have survived for a moment. People missing can become public news. Then it came to be one of the kids missing was a internet sensation because he was hugging a cop after protest. It is a great picture.

You don’t have to care. What I don’t get is people who don’t care feeling the need to go out of their way to express it. Good on you though.

And that’s why it’s different from a regular car wreck. There’s concern as to how a vehicle goes off a cliff here. And that’s a lot of young deaths.

Crazy if true

It’s fine if they want to go off a cliff together, but no reason to bring the kids

Devonte and his sibs were home schooled.

In addition to no sugar, lots of vegetables, they went camping and were social justice warriors. From driving up to Vancouver Washington for a Bernie Sanders Ralley (the photos with the matching blue shirts), to becoming well known for their activism, long time friends admired them (and use words we've heard before) and the neighbors worried about the children (current neighbors).

Looking at those tracks in pull off where they went over the side, and it almost looks to me like there was an acceleration going on. I'm certainly not a pro at this, but the tracks are deeper away from the ledge. Like they were parked there overlooking it, and then quickly accelerated to go over. Who knows.

The diet is overated. I mean I know a lot of people that feed their kids weird crap or don't let them eat certain things. I don't think that necessarily means they are bad parents.

Kids saying they are "starving" and asking friends and neighbors for food is also in and of itself nothing. Kids do that all the time when they don't want to eat what the parents have and are hungry.

Just putting a face with the name. Extremely weird on how this kid and his family died.

I’m not implying anything sinister but it feels like a ton of people that were at the front of that (organizers or well known photos) have died. Maybe I’m just blending all the different protests and it’s a small portion of a huge number but it seems like a lot of the “iconic” faces from ferguson have passed.

Braking would look similar. Tires push loose matter and dig in.

Simple physics.

If you were braking in that circumstance, would you take your foot off the petal before you stopped moving forward?

Wouldn't the most disrupted ground go all the way to the edge?

Or is there something about the brakes on that particular model of a truck?

ETA (original reply below): Posted the vehicle image from the UK News story a couple pages back... but thought it didn't jive with the image I had of a GMC Yukon.... Looks like the news posted the wrong vehicle image. Should have been this one...

Soooo... They have recovered 5 bodies from the crash site and the vehicle involved was the same as this...

...which seats 5 people. I'm wondering if the missing 3 were in the bed of the truck? ...or for some reason separated from the rest of their family prior to the incident?

Perhaps the missing 3 died somewhere else along the way which resulted in the mental break that caused the parent(s) to snap and become a family annihilator.

What are the odds... Another incident in which a vehicle drove off a 200 foot cliff along the CA Pacific coast Wednesday. (CBS Local News link)

Life is a bitch, there are dozens if not hundreds of dead kids his age littered across the ME daily.
