What? The microwave is the easiest thing in the kitchen to clean.

We seem to replace our microwave about ~10 years. Pretty good bang for the buck. One kitchen appliance I can't do without.

Usually, the first thing to go on a microwave is the turn table motor..

If it starts making a really loud humming sound, it’s done.

My 10 month hold dishwasher's drain pump just gave out. Probably my fault for buying the cheapest option Lowe's had. Debating whether to buy the part or just go get a Whirlpool.

I’ve never had a microwave stop working. So I guess there’s some truth to it.

they make disposable one time use liners for air fryers these days. they are cheap too. $4-5 for 50 of them. Our air fryer is clean as the day my wife purchased it.

I would know because this is one of her pet peeves….

I have a 2nd replacement under warranty and a built in GE replacement that also needs replacing. The GE are crap now, stay away from them.

Mine recently stopped working. Door switch was kicking the breaker off. Did some research and its a safety feature when the door switch is broken.

My mom had an old one that was rusting on the inside and she didn't want it anymore, so i took the door switch and the other two safety switches out and replaced them in mine and works like new again.

Just have to make sure the switches are compatible.

The under-counter microwave drawer is the greatest invention of the modern age. Sharp holds the patent and has made piles of money on that design.

You are right. My microwave is 18 years old.
Odds are it’s mounted above your cooktop, you can’t reach it Chris.

You wouldn’t know if it works or not.

In the past 6 months, I have bought two. The first to break was one that we got when we moved in our house in 2013. It finally stopped working. And one for my mom. Apparently hers went out and she told me that's what she wanted for her birthday.

But the one at our house was a whole thing. When ours broke, I just moved the one that was in my workshop that I've had since 2003, when I went to college, into the kitchen until we could get a new one. I assumed i was just helping out for a day or two. Of course that couldn't stand with the wife because it "didn't look new enough". I unplugged it and put it back in my workshop. Told her if she needed anything warmed up to do it in the oven or come out to the shop until she can get a one pretty enough for her.

My wife and you are 100% in agreement.
We started laying out plans for the Kitchen remodel and that was the first thing she mentioned.

They are kinda gross and I would never want them left out.
I prefer the portable versions but air fryers are truly one of the great kitchen inventions of all time.
My kids are spoiled.
They will never know the nasty, soggy, limp fries we used to make growing up because that damn air fryer makes perfect fries and tater tots.

One of the greatest inventions in the past 20 years. Makes leftovers taste delicious and have you ever had an air fried hot dog? It's the only way I eat a hot dog now if I'm at the house.

Sounds like you never clean or wash any of these.
