I did have some inaccurate posts early in the thread as a father of 3 girls I struggled to read the affidavit.
I don't find a debate over facts to be offensive, nor do I think you have done anything but treated the facts in a balanced manner. I've never questioned your motives or contributions.
We are operating on limited information, spin, and assumptions as far as the video inside the car.
I believe Madison was raped and the 4 guys bear responsibility. I made that known and suggested other crimes they could be charged with.
I do not know any of the folks involved, though my sympathy is with the family and friends of Madison as her loss is a tragedy.
I have and will continue to discuss these issues with the 'bar age crowd' folks I know.
I always advise people be careful what car you get into and who you ride with because whatever trouble they're in or about to get in they'll bring you down with them.

I don’t think his opinion was solicited because it was going to damn the defendants, I’ll tell you that. When someone from the prosecution confirms that’s what they were doing- trying to help her actually get home- I’ll believe it.
You know why? Cause if it’s proven they weren’t trying to help her get home. That maybe they were still sodomizing her or trying to get oral sex from her- Nak will never be held accountable for his interview. He’ll be Long forgotten and won’t give an explanation of the interview.

The more times I've read it the more I'm impressed with the affidavit. Covered the requirements of the statute. Was understated and complete.
Can you, Judge, look at the timeline below?
We may be able to fill in some of the gaps using the map/ travel time.
Phone records will hopefully show more details as to location. Is the metadata on cell phone video date time and location stamped?
How long was Madison in the vehicle post rape?

10:06 p.m.
Video footage obtained by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s (EBRSO) office shows Brooks arrive at Reggie’s Bar in Tigerland, located on Bob Pettit Boulevard.
10:18 p.m.
Casen Carver and Kaivon Washington, both 18; Everett Lee, Washington’s 28-year-old uncle; and an unidentified 17-year-old are seen arriving at Reggie’s.
"Inside the bar, the victim and Mr. Carsen’s (sic) 17-year-old juvenile friend were seen hugging and dancing," states a EBRSO affidavit.
JANUARY 15, 2023
1 a.m.
According to the affidavit, Brooks is seen sitting on a stool at Reggie's before she stands up to readjust her pants and "stumble[s] backwards."
"The victim got back on her feet with the help of three individuals," the document states.
1:34 a.m.
Brooks falls while standing up from a bench near the entrance of Reggie’s bar, the affidavit states.
The 17-year-old suspect is then allegedly seen approaching Brooks. He "removed her baseball cap," and Brooks is seen "grabbing" the teen’s hand "while getting back on her feet," the document alleges.
1:49 a.m.
Brooks and the four men leave Reggie’s Bar.
1:51 a.m.
Brooks and the quartet are seen "walking towards the location of their parked vehicle."
1:54 a.m.
The group then boards the vehicle.
2:50 a.m.
The EBRSO Traffic Division receives a call about a fatal crash on Burbank Drive, where Brooks is struck by a car. Brooks is rushed to an area hospital, but cannot be saved.
Can you, Judge, look at the timeline below?

Like I said, I didn’t give much weight to Nak saying she was friendly inside the car. That has no bearing on what happened and her ability to consent or more importantly the accused men’s perception of her ability to consent which they already implicated themselves. I do think they were actually attempting to bring her where she wanted. Both can be true.

One thing I think we missed in this thread is the asking 5 times for consent. Like just imagine having to ask 5 times and thinking that this girl actually wants to have sex regardless of what she said the 5th time.
