Casen John Carver, Everett Lee, Kaivon Washington. 4th is a 17 year old who was booked with 3rd degree rape.
Sources said a 17-year-old boy was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish juvenile detention center Sunday on a count of third-degree rape.
An 18-year-old man, identified as Kaivon Washington, was booked on Monday, along with Casen Carver, also 18. Washington faces charges of third-degree rape; Carver was booked as a principal to third-degree rape.
A fourth suspect, 27-year-old Everett Lee, is also booked as a principal to third-degree rape.
In a conversation shortly before his surrender, Washington told WBRZ’s Chris Nakamoto that he had sex with Brooks before she died. Washington said it was consensual. WBRZ

Omg. That’s horrible. It just didn’t make sense at first that she would be on Burbank by herself. This is just terrifying. No care for life at all.

My 18 year old stepdaughter is off at college. I can't imagine her being in a campus that is in a city like Baton Rouge.

No doubt they recorded the act. I'm sure the girl will likely be intoxicated meaning what the defense believes is a video clearing them will actually be the evidence that proves impairment beyond consent.

Not familiar with current Louisiana Law, but is there a higher degree of charge than manslaughter IF PROVEN they left this girl in the middle of the road which resulted in her death?

It probably means they recorded the encounter and the victim probably appears to be willing participant in the video. But if her toxicology report shows she was really drunk/high, the 3rd degree charge is fair.
But I have to imagine the father of that young lady would like to see these pieces of shite gutted and buried in shallow graves.

Well, rape requires the sexual contact and lack of consent. Since it’s hard for a video to prove no sexual contact unless the video begins where they picked her up and ends with her death, he’s probably suggesting there was consent.
