Sources said a 17-year-old boy was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish juvenile detention center Sunday on a count of third-degree rape.

This is the problem. Time to treat teens doing adult crimes as adults.

Was sent this by a friend. I won't comment:
quote:

§30.1. Second degree murder

A. Second degree murder is the killing of a human being:

(1) When the offender has a specific intent to kill or to inflict great bodily harm; or

(2) When the offender is engaged in the perpetration or attempted perpetration of aggravated or first degree rape, forcible or second degree rape, aggravated arson, aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping, second degree kidnapping, aggravated escape, assault by drive-by shooting, armed robbery, first degree robbery, second degree robbery, simple robbery, cruelty to juveniles, second degree cruelty to juveniles, or terrorism, even though he has no intent to kill or to inflict great bodily harm.

(3) When the offender unlawfully distributes or dispenses a controlled dangerous substance listed in Schedules I through V of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law, or any combination thereof, which is the direct cause of the death of the recipient who ingested or consumed the controlled dangerous substance.

(4) When the offender unlawfully distributes or dispenses a controlled dangerous substance listed in Schedules I through V of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law, or any combination thereof, to another who subsequently distributes or dispenses such controlled dangerous substance which is the direct cause of the death of the person who ingested or consumed the controlled dangerous substance.

B. Whoever commits the crime of second degree murder shall be punished by life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

They cannot book him into the adult jail due to his age but I would be surprised if he isn't charged as an adult. White sorority girls dying at the hands of shitbags tends to make DAs prosecute.

It seems like the bar is in trouble too for permitting underage drinking.

I never really thought that. it was just 18 and up so all the young people went. And they would have exchanges there because the freshmen could get in. I always felt that bogies was the actual frat hangout.

Where were her friends? Did they put something in her drink? I mean everything these days says go out with friends and stay together. Never leave a drink unattended. Idk what happened but hard to believe this happens with all the info about never be alone and stick together. I guess I’m naive. I never remember being drunk and alone without friends.

There’s a makeshift marker where she was struck on Burbank. Literally nothing in the area. Just woods.

It’s been like this for close to a decade at least. Different methods of dealing with it by the bars have been tried. If I remember correctly, one of the bars had the dress code that was called out by the reveille for being racist.
