Don’t worry, they’ve already counted you as a positive case

Unless you are showing symptoms they were not testing you as of last week at the lake after hours in BR. I think the exception was if it was mandated by work or if you were an essential worker. I had symptoms but because I felt ok they triaged me out of the testing queue.

I Showed first symptoms on June 20th. Chest pressure, cough, mild head and body aches, felt like I had fever but never truly ran fever. Honestly did not think much of it until I lost taste on the 23rd. Primary Doctor requested test, had to tele visit with testing center. Test center said since I felt ok just to stay home as they were not getting enough tests to fill every request. Now 7 days later I can say I am still not back to normal. Getting winded way easier than before the 20th, still have cough and generally feel tired all the time. Wife had similar symptoms too, we have antibody tests scheduled for later in the month. If it was not for the loss of taste I would have chalked it up as a bad allergy spell....

Where was this? two of my roommates and two other friends I was with earlier this week just tested positive. I feel completely fine, but I'm not sticking around at our house if I don't have it. I'm worried about leaving to stay at my parents if I'm carrying it and am just asymptomatic.

I got the nose test (horrible experience) in late May. Got the negative result the next day.

Testing was at the old Edna Karr high school in Algiers. Took less than 15 minutes.

I went in for routine blood work a month ago and ask my Dr if I needed to be tested for Corona. He said no need because even Dr's don't know what positive /negative test mean. ...

What kind of testing site was it? Many different kinds.I would not trust a drive thru pop up test site.

They were out of the swabs they poke into your nose here at my primary docs office so we had to do the rectum digital exam. Thankfully came out negative. He insisted we do it 3 times to make sure we didn't get a false negative. Belt and suspenders.

not where I live, they only asked me two questions

1) Can I see your driver's license?, it's not required but it makes the process quicker.

2) Would you like a bottle of water?

Criteria for the test and the amount of time it takes to get the results all dependent on who was performing the test. Are you going through your contract a lab provider through your health insurance? Are you going to an urgent care? Are you stopping at a pop-up site run by the Louisiana Department of health?

Da frick. You probably would've already healed up or died by the time you get your results back

It works great for those wanting paid leave. Got get your Covid test and get paid to stay at home until it comes back.

We are seeing it.

Why would you want to be tested and possibly be forced to quarantine? If I feel well enough to get out of bed, I’m not getting tested

I dont want to get other people sick. I’m WFH right now so it really wont change anything, but I dont want to do anything for 4th of July if I’m carrying it.

Seems like they are begging and pleading for people to get tested. I hope what you are sharing is true

Yeah I got denied. I was around someone who tested positive but I didn't have any symptoms. So I was denied.

Where do you live? I got one the other day because of potential exposure to someone who tested positive and I don’t have any symptoms. Went to one of the free testing sites Ochsner is running

I walked into Trustcare here in Birmingham yesterday and got one. Haven't been in contact with anyone exposed or infected, no symptons. Easy peasy.

If you are that concerned about being asymptomatic and spreading it to others then just self quarantine. Why do you need a test to "confirm it"? Not to mention the test is only a snapshot in time. Congrats you test negative today but get infected on the way home from the testing then 14 days later you are now spreading the virus because "you tested negative and can be more free with your activities". My quotes are not because of a poster just as a collection of quotes I have heard in the past. I just don't understand the need for a test if there are no symptoms.

So when they refused to test you you just turned around and walked away? Didn’t bother to ask why? If they are short on tests they may have been able to direct you to a different testing site that may not have a shortage. Here in BR there are multiple sites and anyone can get a test.
