There a shortage and backlog for some of the labs. Some places had to switch back to symptomatic patients only due to the demand. I assume about a 500% increase in tests since things reopened. Should be better in a few weeks.

The only reason I got one is because I want to go see my mom this weekend, and she is going through chemo. I realize that I could get it between the test and the when I get down there, but with proper precautions, I think that I will be able to avoid that. Anything is possible though. I didn't think that it would hurt to just make sure I wasn't asymptomatic positive on Wednesday.
