This is false. Chairs up to 1200 pounds are loaded on to airplanes (and considering the distance this plane flew there would be enough room.

Chairs are placed in cargo hold and brought up to passagener.

I'm talking about boarding the plane and whatnot. I know they allow wheelchairs to be loaded.

I understand this, but the picture of her is in the airport. If she was transferring to a chair and needed an aisle chair, I would assume they would use the same one they used when they first put her on.

It seems like she was needing a wheelchair to sit in after the flight, while in the airport.

For those with battery powered chairs, in my experience, you are allowed to go to the entrance of the plane and then transfer into an aisle chair so they can take you to your seat. At that point, the battery powered chair is then taken the loading dock to be loaded on the plane. When the plane lands, they then bring your chair to you and that's it.

Airports do not have specialty chairs. Those who need straps, thats usually customized because it's different for everyone.

Airlines in the US have become complete shite. It's sad because they used to have top notch service.

If it's a super heavy electric chair sometimes they can't bring it to the plane door. And if it's an international flight that means you won't get your chair until you clear customs and you're at the baggage claim and even then you could be waiting a while before it actually gets there. The aisle chair which has straps is usually only used for the plane and is never supposed to leave the gate.

Has anyone else recently flown Delta?

I flew Delta last February. Our flight from Detroit to St. Louis was canceled due to weather. Of course that was not the fault of Delta but a little customer assistance would have been appropriate and appreciated. Basically Delta gave me a tooth brush and said to get lost. The airline provided no help whatsoever in finding motel accommodations even at my own expense.

When we finally landed in St. Louis it was 26 hours late and my luggage had arrived before me. The agent at the Delta luggage desk was the rudest, most belligerent, and obnoxious public employee that I have ever encountered.

Delta used to be a great company but my recent experience was the worst that I have ever had with an airline. Delta can go to hell. I will never fly that airline again.
