Forward speed is 15 mph but the expected landfall now looks more like very late Friday or early sat morn. Yesterday morning they had it at an early Friday morning landfall.

Do they expect that it’ll slow down or is this related to the curve?
Hoping it slows over the cooler waters of northern gulf to tame it .

Ooof. That 10 pm would be a back breaker here on the north shore.

Yeah, my area of slidell would be inundated with water. Actually either run is going to be a bad water event for areas Hammond to slidell

So the high pressure is pushing it further west than they thought initially?

Oof. frick both those tracks. Destroya must be licking her chops and already spending all those federal disaster relief funds she knows is coming.

Are we going to get another 3 am hurricane warning waking up the whole area tonight? Maybe they'll be nice and do it during business hours this time.

How big is the hurricane force wind field? Is it expected to be small or big? That’s essential for all of us now. Can mean the difference in some damage vs. A lot of damage.

There’s still 3 months remaining and the 2020 South Louisiana ice storm hasn’t happened yet.

This thing is still so far out. Many variables can change.

The chart above your post show 10-20% hurricane force winds in the Slidell area. I’m closer to it in mandeville.

Usually I would be shitting bricks that the euro is pointing to SWLA but this year I’m relieved.

Weird hurricane season.
