West Gulf Buoy will probably get northern eyewall then the eye in about 4 or 5 hours.

I’m starting to get this sinking feeling that between now and 6am this storm is going to start banking East.

Had to turn off FOX 8’s Shelby Latino this morning. That’s all she kept saying when everything suggest it it staying well west of NOLA

Or not. Now 115mph.

It was 115 at 4 pm. So it’s leveled off which is good, running out of time for further intensification especially since the eye isn’t closed off now.

Losing the well-defined eye:

It pulled alot of cirrus clouds into the eye from that convective burst earlier and hasn't been able to clear it yet. You can actual see it happen on the visible loop.

It took me 5 hours to get to NOLA from Lake Charles but I'm hearing reports of it taking 10 to 12 hours to get to Houston. Took some people 4 hours to reach the TX state line. Also heard there were some fist fights on the interstate.

Took about 3 hrs to get from Lafayette to Covington earlier. Not too bad considering the circumstances.

Last VDM says the eyewall had reopened on the SE side. SW shear might be doing enough. This process of firing convection downshear on the NE side and rotating around has been the primary mode today. This has tended to have the SE be fickle as the convection fades once it gets wrapped to that side. Earlier it fired some storms from that SE side and that let it close off but it didn't last.

Here’s what I have to say about this. I admire people like you who are intelligent in a sophisticated arena. This may as well be typed in Swedish.
