Making the turn a little early would be great news for LC.

Delta is at the longitude of Sulphur right now. The sooner it starts heading north is the less it has to turn east of north to lessen the impact to LC.

Best route from Lafayette to Houston at this point?

Just stay put if you are in Laffy. It's going to be mild.

Our subdivision FB group, 4 people that use to live in Lake Charles area and still has family there. Family trying to leave and hopefully arrive tonight. I would imagine many have family in TX, the NW area of Houston is just crawling with people from Louisiana who made the move.

Be careful what you wish for asking for Suddenlink. I hope their CEO catches super-AIDS

Any thoughts on the eye disappearing on sat? Is it a collapsed eye or just clouds covering it?

I doubt seriously it is a collapsed eye.

I’m in laffy. I’m starting to get this sinking feeling that between now and 6am this storm is going to start banking East.

looking at the satellite imagery it appears there was a big convective burst that wrapped around the south side and it just covered the eye, didn’t look like the eye collapsed

oh I know SuddenLink is shite... believe me

but I'd still rather a cable provider over satellite

top choice being Cox Cable... never really had issues with them that I recall while I used their services

NHC forecast had it getting to 93.9.

Doesn't look like it will get that far west.
