Jesus Christ.

Unless you stayed in NOLA or on the Mississippi Coast for Camille, Betsy, or Katrina, then Slackster is right.

Can we move on now?

I thought we were getting 90 MPH winds? Worse than Gustav!

As of yesterday that forecast was very realistic. Things change with a storm hundreds of miles away.

You’re just being a douche to be one.

Why not try being glad that it won’t be as bad as it could have been in BR instead of gloating like an idiot.

Damn hurricane alarm notification went off while I was driving home. Bluetooth to speakers in the truck scared the shite out of me.

Anyone with a brain realized that the storm was going west of BR. Yet some laughed it off and said NO WAY was the storm going west of Lafayette.

Regular posters in these threads that smugly dismiss any opinion but their own are the real douches.

In Starks you probably saw gusts up to 70-75 mph for Humberto. Even Lake Charles is unlikely to see gusts that high for this system (on the current track), for some perspective.

Seriously? That doesn't seem right.

It was pretty damn stout (pun intended). Trees down going into my house. Had to tie on to two of them to drag them out of the way so I could get home. The scariest drive I’ve ever made.

I fully expect LC to be a full war zone Friday with how much debris is sitting around ready to catch 60 mph winds.

Some friends of mine found tools in their attic after Laura where it punctured the roof. Maybe not that but it’ll be hazardous.

Accuweather also says gusts of up to 86mph in baton rouge
So BR will maybe get up to 35 mph gusts.

Are you expecting normal service in a disaster zone?

If you hadn’t marked on it, I bet you could’ve sold prints of that for a little chunk of change
