Trends have been positive today for S. Louisiana and over into Texas.
With that said, there is still a long way to go before things are resolved. #2 is the piece of energy that could bring snow to Texas and South Louisiana. It is still out over the North Pacific

us Cenla folks may miss it cause too far north. Damn.
Don't fret. That northern edge will be further north than the models are predicting.

Treat me like I'm five. What is the wintry participation looking like for the rest of the southeastern United States?

Weather channel getting balsy and predicting snow again on Thursday.

18z Euro expanded the northern edge up into CENLA. I wouldn't be surprised to see some additional north shifts as the models realize that the cold air will sag farther SW and hold the trough back.

18z Euro giving lafayette a 60 to 70 percent chance of 1inch of snowfall or greater. Don't think i've ever seen probabilities this high.

Does MSY have any de-icing capabilities? I’m assuming this forecasts shuts it all down on Tuesday?
I’m supposed to fly in Tuesday at noon.

Electric
Not sure if a generator can handle a all electric heat system.
I have a gas furnace, only thing electric is the 110 blower in the attic, so I am good to go.

Similar boat. I’m supposed to land close to midnight, was going to fly home Wednesday night but moved it up to try to avoid this.
Really just need to be home sometime Thursday before 2:00 PM. What say ye experts of the OT

Equipment is collecting dust somewhere I am sure. The skilled labor might be limiting

Flying out would be more of a concern. Getting on the ground will probably be fine.
