If you think the roads are bad now???? Just wait till tomorrow morning.

Looks like we will be above freezing today for about 2 hours today so that top layer is going to refreeze. Gonna be slippery as owl shite.

I did it. The USPS was in fact closed.

I went slow and drove in 4 high. Took about 60 minutes round trip. Normally its 25'ish depending on traffic and red lights

There were more cars on the road than I thought.

Only Indian owned gas stations and the Dollar General were open. Everything else is closed

There was one car in the ditch that some baws were using an excavator and straps to get out. A cop saw them and didn't even bother to stop. Guess he said F it. They have it under control and it's too cold.

Passed one ambulance with its lights and sirens on but only going about 20 MPH. I hope whoever was in it wasn't dying and needed to get to the ER quickly.

Some other baws were at the Burton Coliseum doing donuts in the parking lot and pulling each other on water ski tubes behind their cars and trucks. See photos

The question is whether or not the roads will be safe by Thursday morning.

I just told my husband that a td poster went to the post office to mail a package .. and then couldn’t stop laughing. It sounded odd saying that when it’s snowing like crazy outside.

I’m guessing this is the longest Non-Hurricane weather thread.

ETA: The great flood thread may have been longer.

What part of AP are you in? I still have flurries in the St. Amant burbs and I see the radar shows one more band of heavier snow coming through soon.
