I’m the only person in my clinic that has their own office…and I always leave the lights off.

I never turned my light on when I worked in an office. Always had a big window at least 20 floors up. Fluorescent lighting blow. I used a lamp when needed.

I don’t use my lights either but I have a corner office with a river view and ceiling to floor windows on both exterior walls.

I’ve done that a few times when I had big windows and too much natural light already.
In about 2007, our office IT guy worked from 6am - 3:30. In the afternoon hours, his lights were often off with just a bit of window light. He got fired for drinking on the job. I never noticed anything but thought of the lights after the fact.

That is all please ridicule me in the replies
I do it all the time. I don't like lights on overhead. By the way, you're fired Monday morning.

I work with CAD. Office lights stay off.

Get him a lava lamp or something.

I do the same thing. Overhead fluorescent lights are the worst. If you have a corner office with windows and natural light, it’s a thousand times better. If you don’t have windows, it might be a little strange if the dude is just sitting in the dark.

Thats the term for the office employees that you make coffee for everyday?

Just having a lamp with low light is amazing.
It’s not your office, so mind your mutha freaking business and stay in your lane

OP is some annoying corporate hack who probably loves goofy office small talk and being part of his “work family” and is butthurt that his boss is doing something that makes him feel good at the expense of being exactly like everyone else. If I had to sit in an office all day I’d turn my lights off too to not die inside from staring at ugly fluorescent lighting 24/7
