DALLAS - Two security officers are being charged with murder following a deadly New Year’s Eve shooting outside a nightclub in Dallas.
Dallas police said it happened around 3 a.m. after a disturbance in the XTC Cabaret overflow parking lot off Stemmons Freeway.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, several security officers tried to keep a 34-year-old man from leaving and injuring an unconscious person who was on the ground behind his truck.
The man reportedly ignored the officers’ commands and backed up his truck. When he nearly hit a security officer, officers Daterrious Haggard and Eric Hansen fired their weapons. They continued firing as the man drove away, ultimately killing him, the affidavit states.
Haggard and Hansen later admitted to the shooting. Police said based on their admission, witness testimony and video posted on social media of the incident, they will be charged with murder.
The victim’s name has not yet been released. There’s also no word on the condition of the unconscious person.

I'm not taking sides as I know nothing, but doesn't this sound a bit hypocritical in the realm of "justified" versus "murder"? If a truck back up to a cop and they shoot, it's dismissed in almost every case in almost any state.

I wonder why he didn't drive away faster?
Any ways, why is the woman knocked out? Did he hurt her? Not saying it should cost him his life.
I should read the article and not just watch the video.

I have to agree. And I almost guarantee if you asked them how they felt at the exact second, they would say they were acting on behalf of "safety". Guys like that see cops act the same way and get off. They have to be completely confused right about now.

Here's a true story. In 97 I was a younger professional with a really cool manager and director. Celestica at the time was a world leader in wireless refurb and manufacturing. We used to hop over to The Lodge for lunch at least twice a week until the HR VP found out. She was based in Canada. We all were suspended with pay for 2 weeks...
We played golf, drank and slept the entire time. Glorious days back then, boys. Glorious.

because the two cops working the strip club detail fricked/raped the drunk passed out stripper and left her in the street then they panicked when this drunk guy backed over her and drove off
knowing this meant they were going to get caught for raping her drunk arse, they shot at the other guy hoping to arrest him to cover up their actions by arresting him for drunk driving and running her over
