For believing in what's going on in our climate? Wow.

Tornadoes have been occuring in late February and early March for as long as we've been tracking them, dipshit. There's been some massive, widespread tornado outbreaks in early March.

Don't miss an opportunity to virtue signal and act holier-than-thou, though. Wouldn't expect anything less from a shitty poster like you.

I akin it to an Eagle about to grab its prey.

Prayers to the families of loved ones lost. I frickING HATE TORNADOES.

Worst tornado to hit Nashville in my lifetime for certain. East Nashville looks like Baghdad right now.

Doneslon Christian Academy was absolutely decimated. Thank God that this storm did not happen during school hours.

Just a hellish night for Music City.

Yeah seeing more photos in the daylight shows the scope of how bad it is.

I remember when I was a kid in the late 90s (98 maybe?) there was a really bad day when a dozen or so tornadoes went off all over the city, including downtown, but this is definitely in the same league, especially considering it went in a major population area.

I just woke up to a hundred texts from fam & friends. Flew out last night from BNA to Tuscon, had phone on silent & konked out in my hotel room.

Jesus, this thing was a monster. Prayers to my fellow Nashvillians, IDK why twisters have a hard-on for Woodland street but looks like one of the town’s great original music venues Basement East is toast.

Just drove around all the worst areas in Germantown and East as close as I could get.

Pretty damn sad. Some blocks are just completely razed.

Looks like this was probably at least a strong EF-3 or maybe an EF-4. NWS Nashville will probably start surveys this afternoon, I would think.

I slept through it in Hendersonville. Woke up and had a ton of texts and weather notifications and had no clue what happened. Was fortunate enough that it was just bad thunderstorms but some of my coworkers had some damage. Prayers for everyone affected. Some of the photos I've seen so far are awful.

How much warning was given for this tornado?
We're under a tornado watch here. Sort of came out of the blue.

My understanding is that the lead time was about 10-12 minutes. The rotation ramped up fast, so they simply couldn’t give a longer lead time. Still, 10-12 minutes is generally a sufficient amount of time to seek shelter if someone in the warning polygon has a way to get warnings and pays attention to those warnings.

Looks like the 1998 track. Has anyone said anything about those prisons out there off Briley?

The old Tennessee State Prison, "Disneyland", no longer has prisoners.
