If you want to steal a car while you’re there, stay away from Gause west of the interstate. If they’re still shooting episodes of “Bait Car”, that was prime territory.

True.

Go to Fremaux and then eat at Phil's Marina. Not much in Slidell to do.

Just drive another 20 mins to Bay St. Louis. Lots of cool places right on the water.

I wish West St. Tammany would break away just west of Lacombe and become its own parish

Lacombe is a great little town. It's like a black Madisonville. Bayou Lacombe and the lake near the mouth is the best in the Parish.

Indian Hills Resort

Delivered pizza for a time at the Domino's by the mall - they sent me to Indian Hills once and I had no friggin clue that was what it is. I knocked on the camper and a 70 year old grandma answered the door as clothed as a baby out of the womb. I was horrified.

I recommend to keep driving east on 10, anything east of that shithole is going to be way less of a shithole the more east you go. Until you hit Africa.

Thanks for all the replies, even the "OT replies."

I see most think Slidell is a hell-hole, so I guess I might just look around whenever I find myself there. I didn't actually go anywhere today. I slept 2.5 hours later than I ever do. Instead, I'm just going to hang around Mandeville and Covington today, hitting a few places I haven't been before.

To those who mentioned Bay St Louis and the Landmass coast, I am going to plan a day trip when my girl can join me....sorry, no pics.
