You said

You'd be surprised how many little ones call their nanny or daycare worker mommy
That is why I am calling you a liar. This is something that is an EXTREME outlier. You make it sound like it is somewhat common

Ahh, why didnt you just tell me and ell from the start you were a homeschool parent, that would have saved alot of time

Not yet. Undecided. Though my 2 year old does know her ABCs and numbers, and my 4 year old does addition better than kids twice his age. I can assure you I'm not drilling them, either.

Jenny McCarthy should go rot in the same jail cell as the chick in the OP.

an uptick in the number of people who think one parent should stay home with the kids is because of the boomers and how they raised (or didn't raise) their kid

I think there are economic reasons that better explain this.

My 21 month old is in day care... knows them as well.

There are pros and cons for both stay at home and daycare. A pro of daycare is the learning and socialation a child receives.

Didn't read past this post. Just wanted to let you know that I hope someone shakes you to death someday.

I didn't post that comment, so I'm not sure where you got that quote?

I definitely think that pig should have done time.

He had a pretty good head start. He was talking relatively early.

No doubt. But the point that we've gotten away from is that parents make the best decision they can and more often than not, it means day care at an early age. It doesn't make them bad parents and it doesn't mean they're making a wrong decision.

Also, it would be interesting to pull up the stastics on infant deaths. I wonder if more occur at the hands of a daycare or the own mother/father? Would be interesting to see. That would debunk the "sending your child to daycare makes you a retard and deserving of infant death" crowd shutup

Your 4 year old is not better at math than a third grader, unless the third grader is in special ed. Then, maybe. Maybe

Trusting a two month old to a day care is just straight up retarded and the parents probably realize that.

I would never have put my child in daycare, especially at that age but that's insane to suggest those who do so somehow got what was coming to them if something horrible happened to their child. Good lord.

I've never understood why people brag so much about trivial shite like this whether it's true or not. My 10 year old reads at a college level!

Wow you don't say! I'm sure one day when he cures cancer while running the first Martian colony he'll totally attribute his amazing success to his reading level as a 10 year old.

ETA: I have a cousin who was doted over like that growing up. Billy is potty trained faster than anyone ever! Billy made the honor roll! Billy reads books! Billy is just full of wonderful potential! Now Billy is a bipolar schizophrenic who has to be committed to State custody on a regular basis for repeated suicide attempts.

Haven't read the entire thread, but the parents did NOT accept this deal. DA is a pussy.

The daycare worker was in fact involved in a previous incident were an infant came home with a broken arm.

Daycare worker tried to make the baby look like he was sleeping.

I don't believe she INTENDED to kill the baby, as in 1st degree murder, but I certainly believe she lost her temper and went too far.

She deserves TEN YEARS prison at the very LEAST
