BR has better pizza places

Well???

It’s all pretty relative. It’s a pie. People have different things they look for, but there isn’t a right and wrong thing IMO. It’s why you have Chicago and New York style, and many variants in between. You want thin, thick, or focaccia? I think fresh ingredients are great, as is a stone oven, and hand tossing, but when all is said and done, is it a difference maker or something we sell ourselves on? It’s still a pie. If I am going to get picky about things, it’s probably going to be about seafood, or Cajun/Creole dishes that should matter a great deal more to people in this area than a pizza pie or hamburger.

So, what is the best pizza in BR now? I used to love fleur de lis as a kid (round the world with anchovies) but the quality went down and down and now they are closed.

But i like That thinner crust, kind of with a crunch, cheese on top all melting the toppings in

You're from Plaquemine and didn't mention Uncle Johnny's.

Bingo! I like Red Zeppelin but Rocca is on a different level. It's kind of apples to oranges though.

And if your South of BR, Diversion Pizza in Maurpas is amazing as well.

Sonny’s is hot garbage compared to RZ. It’s edible on trips back and forth to Woodville with the kids and I don’t feel like waiting The Francis. RZ isn’t the best pizza I’ve eaten in BR but it’s top 2 or 3.

False. RZ is some of the best pizza BR has to offer.

he gave nola pizza company a 7.8 (iirc) so 6.8 is pretty fair. maybe a little generous even.

Rocca is your pizza if you want a thin crust with crunch. I personally don't like how they char their crust.

City Slice is my favorite. But I get the smoked chicken and bacon or the duck bacon and Romano pizza, not basic cheese or pepperoni. The house made smoked meats and toppings are what put it over the top for me. Plus the crust is deliciously chewy.

Okay, just ordered a “carnosa”

Gonna check it out

ETA: it’s not bad but I’m not impressed for the price. Not what I’m looking for. Crust isn’t crispy on the bottom like I like, not cheesy like I like

I went to Red Zeppelin the month it opened, it was very underwhelming. Just a mediocre pizza. As for what's better, well, Mellow Mushroom was far better when it existed in BR. I don't live there anymore, though.
