I'm more of a dog lady. Have you seen the crap in this thread. I'm way too old to try and figure all this out. Plus, I'm over 30...value depleted.

I just thought they were talking about value in regards to physical attractiveness/sexual attraction.

Which both are important when dating to initially be attracted to that person. Obviously other factors come into play(personality, similar interests, values, etc) as the relationship progresses. But it's not gonna progress if the two are not initially attracted to one another.

If I was suddenly single tomorrow my dating pool is not gonna be men younger or my age that want large families with the most fit or hottest chick. If I'm at a bar with a 26 year old woman that is similar in looks to me(same height, hair color,etc)....I'm gonna guess the guy is gonna initially be more physically attracted to the younger woman over myself. Unless he specifically has had previous negative experiences with younger woman(found them too immature, etc).

My dating pool would have to change to men that already had children and weren't looking to have more biological kids, or men that didn't want children at all and preferred woman in my age group cause they had more maturity than women in their 20s.

Definitely would echo a lot of what you've been saying in this thread, HotH. When I was in East Texas, finding a woman that was educated, fit, never married, and no kids, I would very rarely date. Like. frick life sucks. I started dating anything from 19-40 and just looked at it as practice for dating people I'd actually consider for real and hopefully get laid at least.

Then I moved to NYC. I had something like 6 dates in my first 10 days in the city. I'm average and not even that tall (5'11"), but it was still WAY easier.

I met my (now) wife within a month or so of moving to NYC, though. So I kinda screwed myself from being able to capitalize. But no condoms is fun.

Wow.

what i don't think you get is that your anecdotal and emotional example just doesn't weigh heavily in the discussion

we're having a macro-level discussion about social/sexual interactions of men and women.

And what I don't think you get, is that the value of men and women, and relationships, is not always something that can be reduced to science, or macro-level studies, or examples of things you simply read in a book.

Honestly, I think that's how you view everything in life. To me, that's sad. It's obvious to me you're brilliant, one of the most intelligent people that post on this site. But I think sometimes, you try to put everything you discuss into some sort of scientific equation, and you ignore reality. Because you've never lived it, or experienced it. It's simply an equation to you.

You call that strawman. Or emotions. And think that I'm trying to be moral. But it's not true. I'm honestly trying to add to the discussion by presenting a more human view, something I truly believe you struggle with. But it's your thread, and I'll gladly step aside.

that's the thing. because of these demographic deficits (esp when it's more women than men), relationships are rare

so you never even get to a judgment of those factors, b/c that stage is never hit

you sound like the old sports writer who refuses to use analytical stats b/c they refuse to acknowledge that things can be broken down very finely. this is a generational divide (i am admittedly on the crack of it) that does make agreement difficult

i err on the side of science, math, rational analytics and not the side of emotions and mythology

i am not the guy who said he can run through 100 girls in a year. i said i'm the guy who can tear through fat chicks and trashy girls on OKC. i spent the majority of my life believing in romantic fairy tales b/c i am a victim of the feminist mindset

i don't want other guys to lose out on some of the most fun years of their lives being frustrated at life b/c they are living in a society engineered to lower their value and outlook (which is why we have the college deficit in the first place and why male suicide is an epidemic and the clearest sign of female privilege)

you need to date outside if your race

I read that a white guy with ANY other race had a better chance of staying married than if he married a white girl.

And the opposite for white girls, they are more likely to divorce anyone who isn't white.

I think that's fascinating.

that's a secondary discussion (primarily here, why there is a deficit)

i was more pointing out that i am not one of the guys bragging, contrary to his assertion

i have lived exactly within the mindset he's promoting (and saying i have no experience within) and it's utter bullshite

If poo-na-nee was a stock, it would go down the more it's in play, and plummet after a certain age.

Men, on the other hand, their stock goes UP with age (insert joke), because as they get older, they are more experienced and better at using their tool.

Fems got the game twisted , for sure

There is no reason to wear a condom unless the girl makes you. Guys do not get STD's from straight vaginal sex. If you have any modicum of control over your balls you can easily suppress your need to ejaculate for 3-4 seconds while you transition to her chest/stomach/face. It's really amazing how many men voluntarily hamstring themselves and deny themselves pleasure.
