I don't think that women devalue on the surface to guys as fast as is being stated.

I'm pretty sure we've been told that 30 years is our expiration date.

They know they've aged, wrinkled, sagged comparatively over the past 5 years

This is why we have plastic surgery and Dr. Jean-Luis Sabagh's fabulous anti-aging French melon in a jar

their expectations lower and start to fall in line with where they should have been from the get go.

Not for women who actually value themselves. This is more about actually being self-aware than some biological imperative.

the guy they should have choose 5 years ago

now making 50% more and is mean.

then chances are he wasn't worth it 5 years ago. If a little more money changes his personality that much, I want nothing to do with him. I'd rather be single.

I directly responded to the quote of Hammertime, and his allegation that all women decrease in value. And I'm creating a new argument here?

when you say "ok let's ignore biology" you do

biology (and evolution, which is biology) is the biggest part of this argument

quote:

It happens both ways, fwiw.

not at the same rate

quote:

But the answer is not that because all women decrease in value as they age. That's just ridiculous. And shallow.

you can post whatever subjective description you want to justify your position, but the economics and biology disagree

I got over it once I got a real job and my own house. Women frick up all the fun stuff. Haven't actively pursued a girlfriend in over two years and it's been fantastic.

Word.

My group of guy friends was just like yours in college. If my group of friends were 10 deep, the best looking guys(1 and 2) werent very good talking to women. 3,4,5 cleaned house because they were good looking but they were also able to communicate with women. dont get me wrong, they werent banging 10s all the time but the ability to hold a convo with a girl outweighed the great looks of 1 and 2

Well you have to qualify it - I'm talking desirable single women who are dating and not explicitly settling for "the one". That group of 20-27 year old desirable single women are fricking no more than 5-10% of the the comparable male population (aged 25-35).

The remaining 90% of guys don't have a chance other than to improve themselves, settle for less desirable women, or hope to find a rare outlier.

Not in the same numbers, to the same degree. Again, you're either delusional or being disingenuous.

Cherry-picking. Here ya go.

Fes,

this is a book on economics and it talks on a macro level man.... It's not about EVERY woman losing value. It's averages.

I truly do understand that, and with the biological studies, I agree in regards to average.

Go back and look. My response was specifically to the statement made by Hammertime:

quote:

As girls get older, they don't realize a man's value increases, while theirs decreases. That's why we can seriously date younger girls, and yall can only one-night-stand younger guys.

I think that statement is ridiculous. I have outlined my reasons as to why. And I stand by my opinion. (it's just that, an opinion).

no, more about how he sees it, "good guy" who did the right thing but received no affection, but now I make more money, all of a sudden I'm attractive enough.

He's not taking into account the women's lower expectations, so he has a bit of resentment. Sure you got screwed by every Baw in a 10 mile vicinty, now I get to take care of you. Hooray for me!

id agree, but i do not have any data to support that assertion.

like i said, i really wish tinder would release theirs - but the outcome of telling ~90% of men that you dont even have a chance would not be positive

So why did you start this thread for discussion? You have clearly made it known, you are right, economics and biology are on your side, and there is no discussion?

Did you start this thread simply to impress the board with your extensive knowledge? Or did you start it just so you could argue, then deem yourself as correct? Kinda like Hammertime?

Yeah, but I'm not gonna sit around my house trying to figure out which one of my friends looks the best. That's gay

it's not ridiculous. the facts even back it up

wiki article

while the biggest groupings are closer to "same age", the men skew much older otherwise

if you read the article, there is even a cite to a study disproving the "cougar" myth

older men date younger women at a much higher rate than older women date younger men

now the one part he's wrong about is assuming women don't realize that their value decreases. the beautification industry wouldn't exist if this were true

Yep the reality is that tinder has made it EASIER for the top 5% to 10% guys to lay the top 30% of women and HARDER for the other 90% of guys.

The guys in the 11-30% of worth (to females) are settling for girls in the 40% to 60% range of tinder

The guys in the 31% to 100% of worth (to females) are just giving up

It's not something that requires deep contemplation. You don't need a lot of time and effort to know when a woman is attractive.

Please don't tell me you're one of those, "I dunno lol, all dudes are pretty much the same to me."

banging a slag can be even more demoralizing then jerking yourself off, while guys might say theyll frick fatties, they often feel like shite afterwards.

most men are going to chase girls that are, at least, 6/10 and above

the issue is that the 6+/10 girl wants guys who are all 8+/10
