Dark interior is way, way over done. Unless you order a car, it is almost impossible to get light interiors.

Light looks so much better, and has become unique. In a world of cookie cutter, be different.

Now that I live in the south I wouldn’t buy a dark car with dark seats. I would always get the ceramic window tint, but still.

I like mid brown leather if possible

When we bought our Atlas, there was the most beautiful British Racing Green Atlas on the lot with brown leather interior. I miss forest green cars being an option.

It’s a great feature that most people use every day.

Tan/Brown every time for me, personally. I don't think black looks bad, I just prefer bright and sunny, even in my house. It's not like we have all black rooms in our homes, so I'm not sure why cars became this way.

Same re remote start.

I like ivory interiors against black exterior, but color transfer is an issue. Putting a good protective coating on the leather helps a ton, but doesn't 100% resolve the problem.

Light!!! I hand black leather in my 2013 Highlander and it was a big adjustment from light gray leatherette/fake leather in my atlas. Every crumb and spec of dust shows on the black. But finding a 2013 Highlander limited one owner no wrecks with 30K last year was like finding a unicorn, so i got over the black.

Also, i prefer a lit up interior. Bright and cheery, so i prefer the feel of light interiors.

whiskey i find looks really classy, but that’s usually an up charge.

Medium gap chino khaki looks good too. That was standard in a lot of older leather Toyota and Lexus interiors.

I don't disagree. I with they made the greys or browns more standard. Even a sage green or maybe a dark blue.

But, I don't make the vehicles. Was just trying to locate them one the color and trim they wanted.

10-20 degree difference in the dark vs light seats.

Don’t think it makes that much of a difference

Have you seen that Terra cotta color?

I had a black 1/2 ton truck w black interior in South Texas. Liked it but needed something bigger. Traded in and bought a 3/4 ton black truck with light interior. Noticeable difference in temperature when I first got into the vehicle. With vented seats and A/C the truck cooled quick but when you first get in and the time it takes to cool - yes there is a difference. Admittedly both trucks had a black exterior so that factors as well.

ETA: Also, aesthetically I do prefer a light interior.

I am a big fan of lighter interiors.

My last wrangler had black cloth with a black top. I loved it. was it hot inside yes.

i totaled it and i Bought a newer wrangler this time i got tan leather interior and a matching color top. i wasn't a huge fan of matching to until the warmer weather came around. Its so much cooler in the summer now. Yes light interior is much cooler and looks tons better.

This difference can be significant. In some tests, the interior of a black car has been measured to be 10 to 20 degrees hotter than that of a white car parked under the same conditions. Over a hot day, that’s enough to turn a short ride into an uncomfortable or even dangerous one.

the outside color is more important. I had a black/black bmw and just about died in the summer.

later I had a silver paint with black leather int and it wasnt nearly as bad.

Nothing today, even with black seats, feels hot like the old cars with vinyl interiors. Maybe they have more insulation and tinted/treated windows reflect better. Even the old “light” interiors would get hot. The old metal seatbelt latches would burn your leg off as a kid.

Lighter interiors make the space appear roomier and in some vehicles can look better/sharper than darker ones, but they show every discoloration or stain and that's the deal breaker for me.

Find them one with brown interior king ranch-esq, plenty vehicles are offering a similar color to that now

Some have dark seats, floors, and door jams up to the bottom of the window, then from there up is lighter interior

Is that really accurate, based on interior color alone??? That seems very high

All true, but the lighter colors look way nicer.

We were told when we bought our Clarity that the beige/tan seats were NOT covered by ANY warranty.

Found out later that BMW has the same policy.

Todays crappy fabric colors transfer to the seats too easily.
