No indication of what degree?
There is no degree of murder in Texas.
Someone needs to tell Judge Napolitano that. The idiot was talking about the different levels and such.
I do agree that manslaughter seems more correct but don't know what the Texas law calls for.

too bad the jury wasn't stuffed with god-fearing baby boomers like yourself to deliver that good woman from a politically motivated trial!
No, it was stuffed with Dallas residents, which are mostly race baiting SJWs like yourself.
That's all that's left in Dallas now. Race baiters, race hustlers, WOKE SJWs and criminals. All the good citizens left for the suburbs.

Context is key.
It's manslaughter.
Jury disagrees.
I don't see a clear and compelling case that it has to be manslaughter, given the context. I don't see an appeals court downgrading or throwing this one out.

The difference between murder and manslaughter is intent. She intended to kill him when she fired.
You can use that blanket statement for any person with a gun who actually fires it.
She for whatever reason thought she was in fear of her life and for whatever reason thought she was in her domicile.
She was wrong on both accords and should serve time.
Still is not murder.

The fact that this is the route you are going with this says so much about you.

To them, all that matters was white person shot black man, she needs to fry. That's all they care about.
no
a 100% innocent man was killed by a person who had no legal, moral, or ethical reason to shoot him. that person also refused to give him aid and called a co-workers for advice on how to get away with killing people, b/c he had done so previously

i'm on the record saying manslaughter was a more appropriate charge here

That's fine. It's why we have an appeals process.

This. She pointed the weapon and fired in an attempt to kill him.
She didn't waive the gun at him, threaten him, and it accidentally went off.

I agree with all of this, but its still not murder.

This is erroneous given the situation.
It's easy to say you would do this and that from a keyboard on the internet. However, if you actually shot someone and realized that you may have just massively fricked up, it would be interesting to see how you would respond.
Again not saying what she did was right, it was horribly wrong.

Right back at ya. And anybody else who chooses to THINK rather than emote.

I was noticing that too while watching from work. I was like, “WTF is this judge talking about.”

The fact you are making excuses for the shithole Dallas has become speaks a lot about you. It's becoming more and more of a laughing stock of a city by the day. South Dallas runs the city now and its becoming a crime infested, murder infested shanty town.

No im just not retarded to think that this lady woke up thinking she wanted to shoot this specific black man THAT DAY.
You're seemingly considering intent to be equal to premeditation.
Premeditation is not requisite for murder in Texas.

remember, she's isn't some civilian who might panic and not know what to do in this situation.

I'm just giving you shite. Everyone can agree she needs to go to jail for what she did. The scariest resolution was a hung jury and her walking. So much bickering in this thread on "I wanna be right.." instead of justice was served.
