Winning :)
The Dallas-Fort Worth region added 116,400 jobs over the course of the year. New York and Houston followed closely behind, with 115,500 and 108,300 new jobs, respectively.

If you love a place with extreme weather, zero local culture, sky high cost of living, and chain restaurants and strip malls as far as the eye can see, Dallas is for you

New Orleans will catch up this year. The city and state have excellent leadership and citizens that aren’t stupid or lazy at all.

Is cost of living really that high? Back when I lived in McKinney around 2000 it wasnt bad at all, although I know its grown a ton since then

Well you can add good public school, good new infrastructure, no state income taxes, well paying jobs and white people to your list of complaints.

My brother has lived there for 13+ years. You'd be sick to know what he paid for his ranch style 3 BR home in Greenville. I think it's like 1400 sq ft.
It's rising a lot. Great jobs but that's it. You have stuff to do, it's not a horrible town. It's just suffocating to me personally.

And yeah this is a good thing. I’m tired of culture.

extreme weather,
I hardly notice a difference between Dallas and South Louisiana. I know there is a difference, but it’s not so noticeable.

sky high cost of living,
Certainly no noticeable difference between Nola and Dallas.

There are tons of these, but there are plenty of local places to go.

People hate a winner.
High cost of living is a good thing if you want to keep the trash out.

Dallas has a ton of great local restaurants.
They're just all located in strip malls.

Most of the local culcha is down in south Dallas, thankfully. Although I can see how it might make someone visiting north Dallas feel like there was almost zero culcha, as compared to New Orleans.

I'm sure all the Texas cities listed in that article have a higher job growth than BR and New Orleans. Good job Louisiana. At least we know how to throw a party and cook gumbo and jambalaya.
