Right. That's why I don't live in a place with these.

I love when people from shitty places try to shite talk nice ones and have to dig for reasons or spit out the inevitable "just you wait til the libruls ruin it!"

zero local culture

You mean zero as in a culture of prioritizing education and choosing to live in places with a low crime rate. One where salaried jobs are prolific and development is encouraged? One where cosmopolitan character is celebrated?

Well give me zero then over decay, corruption, murder, and high rates of unemployment. But hey, laissez bon temps rouler.

Yeah but that’s because they’ve made it impossible for even the wealthy to live comfortably due to their complete and utter stupidity on their taxes.

It’s also nimby as hell and they refuse to build the housing complex need to support the demand.

Congrats! This is why Louisiana will always be behind. The holier than thou mentality and the bullshite about culture, chain restaurants yada yada yada.

Newsflash, New Orleans is full of chain restaurants and strip malls.

Is it a great place to vacation? Not ideal, but there's enough to fill a week and feel like you've experience the area.

Is it a great place to live? Absolutely. And there's enough here to not do the same thing twice.

The people who get stuck in their rut and believe no place has culture because it's not the same culture as their place are just dumb.

And Greenville from like mockingbird going south is decently similar to magazine street. Tons of shops and restaurants lining both sides of the street.

So overrated.

One of the great things about the USA is that we aren't all the same and don't fit in the same box. There's a location for everyone depending on taste.
